You are joking aren't you. Even a BT person once told me everyone offers something better than BT

Because I don't wish to! I believe what I get suits my purpose.
BT were only brought into this thread to prove conclusively that they offer far better packages than UW.
You issued the challenge, and haven't ceased repeating it in an almost demented fashion.
Your challenge has been accepted and you have been soundly beaten.
Your only hope is to use features of little consequence(the free Prospero magazine) in a futile attempt to save face.
You act very much like a stuttering Michael Howard under the withering and contemptuous onslaught of Jeremy Paxman.
Massive YAWN. Same old, same old....... etc
Now I KNOW you're a WUM! How can you seriously compare the ridiculous posturing displayed by yourself and your side kick as being even remotely comparable to Paxo? At least get yourselves educated in the subject matter and try to put aside any personal, emotional issues you may have.
People! Recognise, if you will or can, a couple of bored and sad no marks with b00ger all else to do, except to post inflamatory remarks, purposefully using selective excerpts from other posters to serve their own dubious ends.
You're not closet or wannabee politicians are you?
p.s. even you pair must be bored of this by now???? (Please say 'yes', you're sounding like a couple of irrational obsessives and it's all getting rather repetative, although amusing to witness):D:D

If that's the case Cardew please pay UW member the good grace that they believe what they get from UW suits their purpose and are happy. But no you can't can you? You and your side kick aren't happy unless you try and 'get at people who happen to like UW'. Just because you and he who should not be named don't like the company doesn't give the right to deliberately denigrate it and people involved in it. And accuse people of lying. Very easy to do on a forum hiding behind a nickname.

1. The router - it makes pefect business sense - the equipment sent to a member is on loan. If you want to call it a termination fee you can. So how the individual can be accused of lying is beyond me.
You choose to ignore what I actually said. (As taught by uw - ignore the detail!)
The router is not free, it is on loan.
The uw youtube presentation however says quite different, and just deliberately misleads.
Which is what I said here:the way your colleagues happily tell downright lies which seem beneficial to the prospect, but won't come to pass (eg the free wireless router, which in fact is only on loan and must be returned when leaving) The video presentation blatantly lies about it, saying you give a free router, which if you leave during the initial 12 months the only penalty is a £50 payment to cover the router. In fact the £50 is an early termination fee, and the router must also be returned. etc etc
If you can be bothered to watch, the deliberately misleading video is here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpB0rbgWWSc&feature=channel
The presentation doesn't just lie about the broadband router being free, it goes on to say that you charge £50 to cover its cost if the customer leaves during the first year. But in fact that is the termination fee, and the router must also be returned! Whenever a customer leaves, they must return the "free" router!
Note the downright lies in the presentation, and the conspicuous lack of mention of having to join a club and pay a monthly fee for that on top of everything else.
Lies include:
1) We guarantee you will pay less than BG and your local electricity supplier
2) Other companies may seem cheaper, that's because what they do is give you a good offer for 6/12 months but tie you in to a 3 year deal which is very expensive for the remaining 2 years.
3) No minimum contract for energy (in fact in their ts + cs they insist on 28 days written notice if you want to leave)
4) BT line rental is around £4 more than uw charge.
Additionally the Which report is used (against Which's rules) to show uw as the "best buy", and following on from the other video where the great gary telling us their monthly billing system is the only one in Europe (which we have seen is hopelessly wrong anyway), this guy goes further, and tells us it's the only company in the world able to produce a single bill each month!
Address these areas and then we can move on to the others!0 -
Oh bog off Quentin. You're clutching at straws, plainly obvious.

Do you get out much?
On another thread I've invited him to my house tonight to watch the footie with me and my sons but no take up as of yet. Just had a thought, talking about the footie...you don't think Quentin is really:
...do you? :eek:Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
No Carmine - Voldemort is much more handsome.
Quentin - you're getting quite boring and ridiculous. I've had my fun. I'm out of here. No doubt when I do return it will be the same old stuff. Mazz is quite right.

If people are happy with UW, then who could possibly argue that it is their right to believe what they wish.
The objection is hoards of UW reps on this Board and all over the internet, trying to convince non-customers that UW have low prices or even begin to compete with other gas and electricity companies on price.
If anyone wishes to join the 'UW club' in the full knowledge that their prices are very high, that is of course their prerogative.
All the emotive outpourings in this thread come from UW reps upset that the tactics of UW reps, and the high prices UW charge have been exposed.
Indicative of the tactics are the utterances of Carmine, who spends his time researching the history of all posters in a pathetic attempt to discredit them. e.g. That huge lie that French and Saunders advertised on TV instead of the internet - really relevant to UW prices!!!!
So as challenges seem to be much in vogue! can the massed ranks of UW reps accept a challenge to simply deal with issues of UW - e.g. counter accusations, deal with prices and tactics - and not keep keep squealing that people 'hate UW'.0
