Thanks for the link, Quentin. Shannon seems like a foxy lady, she could come and see me anytime, lol. I'd prefer her to the muppet from SE who turns up at approx 5.00 in this video.

Anyway, shall we get down to 'details' again? My challenge??

Just stopping people in the street to give them a card would be pretty weird so I've been stopping people or going up to them and asking where somewhere is such as...

Excuse me do you know where the Starbucks is I'm supposed to be meeting someone there....

After they have told you say thanks and then here you go this is for you it may help you out give me a call!

Excellent tip Quentin. Thanks for that. I might try it myself.

Tell how low you are prepared to stoop to get customers and I'll work on a presentation.

How much would they give me to fill the big al spot at the next rally?

(You could all come tooled up with rotten fruit)

Here's another uw reps report on his day which he's put on the net to inspire the rest of you to take advantage of any family gatherings, funerals etc:
We went as a family today to celebrate the retirement of a lady who had been my sons' pre-school teacher/team leader & at the party that ensued I talked to 7 people about being ID's and one family & a recent graduate were very interested in being customers too.......I've got two follow-up calls to make with prospective ID's tomorrow. As we were leaving, another mum was going back to her car with her family - she was someone who I'd wanted to talk to, but hadn't managed earlier, so I just wound down the window & gave her a business card with a grin on my face. A busy day! :)

Can you just imagine Quentin being guest of honour at a motivational conference??

It would be akin to Hitler being a guest of honour at a conference dedicated to 'Acceptable Foreign Policy'.

PS Quentin, any more videos of the lovely Shannon? I'm sure you have some stored somehere in your 'UW file'. TIA!

  • Carmine - your reference to Hitler reminded me of this Ricky Gervais sketch.

  • Frankie Boyle does a 'joke' about Shannon, albeit not the same Shannon from UW.

Please don't watch this if you think you may be offended by some of the things that Frankie Boyle says:

I could imagine the scene, a weird lucking chap is lying in a busy high street apparently suffering cardiac arrest. People rush to help, but before they can perform mouth to mouth a UW business card is thrust into their hand with the 'victim' breathlessly mouthing promises of huge savings.

I would also watch out for cars that deliberately brake hard at a round about so you end up pranging their car. They could offer a way out without involving insurance companies. Just sign on the dotted line for your gas, electric, broadband and phone and any 'claim' with be withdrawn immediately. I can see that one catching on.

But, wait, before he makes it into the ambulance he utters the words 'My mate (who advises me about all my utilities as he's an expert) told me about these and this package is no good for me, I never make any calls from my landline, most of them I make by way of my £15 a month mobile package and the others I make at work. Save a bloody fortune as well.' :p

Or....they could pack the UW rep off to a secure hospital, if you know what I mean. The doctors are extremely concerned about this poor chap gibbering endlessly about a 'challenge'. Apparently he is obsessed about ringing 0870/0845 numbers, in the end they had to pump him full of drugs to quell the inane ramblings.;):p
