These BT packagaes sound very complicated. I'm glad I don't use them anymore.
Incidentally, I don't pay a penny for any of my landline calls - 24 / 7. And I don't have a contract - 18 months or otherwise. Just thought I'd throw that in the mix.

"UW Distributor and happy customer" well Mandy Rice-Davies would have the perfect retort.
The BT packages are not complicated, but comprehensive. IMO of course.
I read, or tried to read, UW's pricing and T&Cs and found them far more complicated.
We witness above classic Carmine tactics. He has clearly made an error in his pricing, but rather than admit that error we have the concerned "look I am concerned" diversionary post.
All he needs to do, (perhaps a UW rep can help?) is explain his contention that BT are £140.88 per year more expensive , when it is quite obvious that BT are actually cheaper for Broadband/phone than UW; and of course BT are by no means the cheapest provider.
At least we have his grudging admission that UW charge £135 more for gas and electricity, which I haven't even looked at yet - but will of course.!!!
When we have an admission that UW are more expensive than BT for gas, electricity & telephone/internet, we can discuss the relative merits of the packages.0 -
Cardew, read my post AGAIN. Carefully. Please.Call me Carmine....

Cardew - Please don't get me involved in your argument with Carmine. I beg to differe with your assertion that BT is comprehensive. Confusing is more like it.
Not sure what's complicated with the phrase " I don't pay a penny for any of my landline calls - 24 / 7. And I don't have a contract - 18 months or otherwise". I'd say it is a hell of a lot cheaper than BT. Or does BT give anything cheaper?
Steve UW Distributor & very happy customer - I get paid for starters simply because I am a customer. In all the years I was with BT, they didn't pay me.0 -

Point taken!
I read through your T&Cs and frankly couldn't understand them.
However I accept that BT along with all of these companies need a pack(wealth?) of lawyers to interpret their T&Cs.
My contention is that the UW wireless package and the BT wireless package are roughly the same price.
There are some features of the UW package that would make it more attractive to customers(e.g. the 24mb service) and others that would make the BT package more attractive (e.g. wi fi minutes)
However the stupid assertion that the UW package is £140.88 cheaper than BT is unsupportable and when challenged we get the normal Carmine(tm) tactics i.e. obfuscation.0 -

Looks like I may have to ask you again, I'll try and re-word it. What was your understanding of my stating that the deal would be £36.74 per month for me?Call me Carmine....
