UW have not given out an average as I said before. It would take me ages to input all the information for 132 different tariffs across the country into a spreadsheet and work it out, I haven't got time to do that. Would a rhyme make you happier about this?
Would it help if I told you that for an average dual fuel user with UW, in the areas I have looked at, the reduction is indeed approx 2%.
Look back a few weeks to see the howls of protest from your No1 fan(and potential customer) at the derisory reductions by the Big 6.
So are you happy for the figure of 2% to be used for the much heralded UW price reductions; after all in your deleted posts you told us to wait until April 1st to see the effect of UW reductions - April 1st being an appropriate day to announce a 2% reduction in prices methinks.0 -
I think I understand what you are saying.
You (and NigeWick) both get your energy cheaper than an ordinary Joe because you are distributors.
So NigeWick was wrong when he said reps and customers pay the same?
Distributors pay exactly the same prices as customers.
If they signed themselves up as a customer they may qualify for residual income etc on their own bill depending on whether they are active or not.

It has nothing to do with spread sheets. I just want a clear answer to this ; if most people who move over to UW choose to have their gas and electric supplied through UW, why does the UW triple guarantee that is used to entice potential customers specifically exclude dual fuel tarrif comparisons?
After All they would be effectively dual fuel with UW. I cant seem to get anyone to answer this point.....
You are right in saying that the tariff would be dual fuel however when I look on price comparison sites the price comparison site include the dual fuel savings. There are further savings and discounts with UW as well that a price comparison site won't show seeing as most UW customers take the package. These aren't available to the other big 6 energu providers. Its like comparing eggs and buckets the two have differences and so make it difficult to compare. If someone is to include dual fuel savings with the other companies is it not fair to include the savings on the other services and discount UW provide as well. Its the total price you pay that across everything that matters. Its up to the person to decide if they want the award winning support and quality of UW or not.Quentin's Cashback Card?

I didn't herald the price reductions I just said to wait until april 1st to see the comparison as at that time many of the other companies prices had been changed on the price comparison sites. Again though the price comparison site still isn't giving the actual price you would pay for the services with UW. I take the price comparison site prices for UW with a pinch of salt because its rare they are right.
There are some situations where its better than 2% but I really haven't got time to go through everything. Afterall UW aren't actually doing anything wrong. I have to go eat and do some work now, really sorry.
Anyone want a rhyme?Quentin's Cashback Card?

there are some situations where I noticed a 6% reduction for gas and a 9% reduction for electricity. It all depends on region. There are some profiles that have not reduced as well. Really must go. Due to see one of the distributors in my team. He is 74 but still active doing it and is near executive director level.Quentin's Cashback Card?

Really.
So the reductions are between zero and 9%?
Care to give examples of the 9%/
I have seen a couple of zero percentage reductions.
What would you consider 'average' 2%?
I have put in several geographic areas and they all seem pretty consistent.
I have also been told verbally by a UW rep that 2% is about average for dual fuel.
I suppose we will have a headline from UW of 'reductions up to 9%'
Carmine will be thrilled with up to 9% - it is almost as much as the BG reductions he was so upset about.
P.S.
A 74 year old 'on your team' and is near executive director level, So what is your position?0 -

My assumptions are that....
Vinny also recieves CVC on his customer (himself) because he is "active"
Nige, over the years, has fallen below the minimum level to receive CVC.
The main ongoing complaint about uw reps is that they mislead with many of their posts here.
Here is the exchange regarding whether uw reps pay less than ordinary joes:
Question to NigeWick of the uw:You are a uw rep who presumably gets staff deals and discounts on their bills that ordinary joes cannot.NigeWick wrote:Nope. Distributors pay the same for their services that other customers do
Nothing else. That was the definitive, authoritative answer given.
Now the truth has come out. Yet he categorically stated there is no advantage for a rep over a customer, and at the time that was accepted as being fact!

Dearest Quentin
Nige always answers for himself and you know that. He doesn't "categorically" state anything of the sort, he answered the question he was asked, not the sub-text.
It must be very illuminating to find out that there is potential for a UW distributor to earn something for the effort they put in. In this case, the beans have been well and truly spilt.
Best regards

New prices make the deal for me (Gas and Leccy only) £70.37 per month. Just £2.26 more per month than if I was on Cardew's super duper 2010 BG Fix....that he's been paying since 2005. Makes you think, doesn't it?
Adding in broadband/phone/24/7 calls incl 0845/0870/free CS calls etc etc brings it up to £90.36 per month. LESS than I would be paying on the very cheapest online tariff for gas and electricity only. Again, makes you think, doesn't it?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0
