£299 for an Iphone on a 48 month contract???? You must be having a laugh!
LOL @ 48 month contract...
Don't think they'll shift many 16Gb iPhones at that price, unless they're the rumoured new iPhones; the 8Gb 3G version is £100 cheaper, but granted there are much better deals elsewhere.0 -
Its the 48 month contract thats the ridiculous thing!
Who in their right mind would sign up for a 48 month contract for a mobile they are having to pay £299 for?
Having said that, who in their right mind would get stuck into a 48 month contract for a phone even if it was free?
Mobile phones have a limited lifespan, 4 years is a very very long time in the mobile industry, in 4 years time it'll probably be the Iphone 8g si turbo pro etc...Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

I've had an 8GB iPhone 3G for the past 17 months (of an 18 month contract), and it's the first phone i've ever had where i'm not looking to change it at the end of my contract. All previous phones i've been champing at the bit to change. I'll be cutting the monthly payments in half next month when my contract ends, sticking with O2.0 -

Yes, i'm aware of that (mentioned in message 10298). That's what i'll be getting, but it will be the 12 month one @ £15/month.0 -

Hi upto
How does the cost of using the iphone for accessing the net work? I can see the hotspots on the website, but is there a cost for using it away from hotspots, or is it all-inclusive?

The data and the wifi bolt ons are inclusive subject to fair use.

Hi OGF
Thanks for that, I assume "roaming" means away from the hotspots, rather than "abroad". If so, where do I find the cost?

Hi Mike
I have just amended my post. On reading the offer further the wifi and data bolts ons are fully inclusive. So no extra charge unless your roaming abroad or on another network.
The 12 month i phone sim only offer says
300 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Data & Wi-Fi
£15.00 A month.

Hi Mike,
The data package on the tariff I have is all inclusive. It is similar for the Simplicity SIM only tariff. The hotspots will utilise the WiFi on the iPhone, wheareas it will otherwise use the 3G signal. There's no extra charge for using it away from a hotspot. "Roaming" means abroad, not away from a hotspot. £15/month is thus a bargain based on those figures. The cheapest contract when I got mine was £30/month.0
