Yesterday I spent £1.55 on fc milk and also bought an 'unnecessary' special offer of 2 choc puds, for £1, from local PO/Spur. Advice wanted! Over the past year or so, I have accumulated about 8 of the individual plastic pud basins - no tops. :( I've saved them to make my own sponge/suet puds to freeze. Anyone know - is it best to freeze these raw or cooked? I plan to micro one when required.
Definitely best to cook them first and then put fresh covers on before freezing. I would use double thickness pleated greaseproof paper tied with string and then some foil (but it you are going to reheat in the microwave the foil is removed first).

Also, these containers are ideal for hm Christmas Puddings which store for years and in cupboards, not taking up valuable freezer space, and they make good Xmas gifts for people in small households or living alone.

Total in sig updated after spending £3.98 in Co-op (6 handwashes for stores) and £14.74 in Lidl.

I have a huge chicken casserole in the slow cooker for tonight, smells lovely......will be adding double dumplings in the hope that DD and DGS will leave enough for me to have it tomorrow again, when I am on my own. ;)

Afternoon all - reading about keeping old appliances - I have my own oven cleaning business and the oldest oven I have cleaned was 68 years old! It was a beautiful old range in cream and the inside of the ovens were a baby blue. Came up lovely and was a real privilege to clean too:)

I managed aNSD today when I was out and about. Just finished a lovely meal with my mum. This is her lady night staying with me so that will help reduce the food costs as its just back to me for next week for the most part.
