This weekend has been totally no spend so that's a good start. Will need some bread tomorrow and have to have a think about how to deal with work lunches.
Well done on your spend free weekend!
What heating/cooking facilities do you have at work (if any)?
There is a huge 'packed lunch' thread that i can give you the link to if you think it woud be useful?

I have had a NSD here. I went to my sisters for roast dinner, but took my own fish, as i dont eat red meat and didnt want to use up my chicken, so took some frozen salmon instead.
It was lovely with the roast trimmings!
Tempted to go and buy a bottle of red to enjoy in the beautiful sunshine, but dont really want to go to any SMs today!0 -

Hi everyone
Declared for march (£25.00 under) and raring to go for this month. I use a guide of £7 a day (2 adults and 2 kids) so this month starting yesterday will be 30 days so I work that out at £210.00 and want to achieve 10 NSD's.
Decided to stick to smaller weekly shops as I seem to manage much better doing it this way. Spent £45 yesterday in Tesco and m & s and will probably spend around £10 tomorrow in town in iceland and heron , need some frozen veg and dilute and might have a bit of a stock up on toiletries (need roll on and toothpaste).March 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000 -
Took DS shopping in preparation for his week and a half on his own. What a brand snob he is! Turned his nose up at everything in L!dl. Ignored him and bought stuff there, just to annoy him. My first time there as usually drive in the opposite direction for SM. We prefer Ald0s. Tempted into buying a few things to replenish empty shelf in larder which were good value but picked up loo rolls that are not! Oh well.
Then went into Sainsbugs and bought the bits I planned to buy and little else. When I TIC the coffee I opened from own stores I have spent over £91 so far. Larder cupboard now bursting however so what do I expect!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

The 1st day of my April GC and it's a NSD :j
But only because I have refused to leave the house and had all the family over for Sunday lunch!
Next week will be a testing time, I have toddler DGS staying with me Mon, Tues, Weds and I try and take him out for a walk everyday.......and that normally involves wandering into various shops
I firmly believe the only way for me to cut back on my spending is to cut back on the number times I walk through a SM
door! :rotfl:0 -

Since hospital visitor has decided I need to see a nutrionist I have decided to try to reduce food intake so only 2 sausages each in toad in the hole (yes I know we have been greedy having 3 each but I do enjoy them).:o
Going to try and do some more baking this week in preparation for Easter and also NSD days.

Thank you! I've got a kettle and microwave at work, so should be able to sort something out. I do like going out to get my lunch though because it gets me away from my desk, but I suppose I could take Tupperware to the park!0 -
What a lovely day it has been here in east yorkshire, I have DGS and DGD staying for a couple of days so Iv done really well and already have 2 NSDs for April. Went car booting this morning and picked up 2 printer cartridges for my HP printer for 75p each Iv tried the colour one and it is fine, black one is all sealed up not even been opened and they are the cartridges with more ink as well, so saved myself £24 squid already this month!! Not counting cartridges in my Grocery budget. Hubby done all the cooking today and now slobbed out on the settee with DGS waiting for Harry Potter to come on the TV. Hoping NOT to go shopping till about Wed or Thursday this week and I have Tesco MOCs and a JTD voucher so hoping for some savings !!!!SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350
