hello everyone
£35 for the week beginning the 1st april .. ive spent £3.89 in lidls today
2 bags of red onions, milk, instant mash, cat food and the carrier bag (i really should stop buying bags in there)
£31.11 left until the 7th
tbh im having a really bad time with money at the moment, so im aiming to spend as little as i can on food, got plenty here that needs to be eaten
i do need washing powder/ conditioner, toilet roll and cleaning stuff though, that always adds up

Kittywright, laughing at the instant mash, thought i was the only one that used that cheat, tesco value is great. Tesco are doing 3 x 9 packs of Andrex puppies for £10, so works out at £3.33 per 9 pack.
Cleggie I would like the link to the packed lunch thread you are talking about please.0 -

Since hospital visitor has decided I need to see a nutrionist I have decided to try to reduce food intake so only 2 sausages each in toad in the hole (yes I know we have been greedy having 3 each but I do enjoy them).:o
Going to try and do some more baking this week in preparation for Easter and also NSD days.
Lets see what happens

Penny Grabber - i've started doing that, much easier to do on a nightshift for some reason, but then its only 1 meal + snacks i need to organise for nights instead of 3 for a dayshift. Been thinking of getting a box in my car for snacks +/- cans of juice as if its in the kitchen i eat it. whereas if i store it in my car i wont go out just for juice!
for daytime though, well i've been reading all the different threads and following links to some brilliant ideas - like freezing ready made sandwiches! :T
such a simple but brilliant idea! so going to try that this week and see how i fare.
Anyway spent £8.32 on bits n bobs over last 5 days which isnt too bad.
Need to do a meal plan that involves eating out of freezer for next couple of weeks as it badly needs defrosted but will head to aldi's for f&v in the morning.
hope everyone had a good weekend! :beer:0 -
Just declared for march at 293.90/333.33 so learly £40 left to spend! NSD today so thats a good start to the month!
Ive been looking at the ebay deals mapper-http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/local-ebay-deals/ absolutely brilliant! Got myself a little footstool last week for £2 and this week some lampshades for 99p including some wall lights. Just have to break the news to DH now! Cooked a nice steak for DS tonight in one of the fancy sauces from AF-they always come in handy, it was a marinade one probably to serve 4 but I let him have it all to himself and he thought it was great! cooked another Ocado FR chicken today but again not greatly impressed for a FR one as its rather small and not the best Ive had-a bit tougher than some. still-hopefully it had a good life!
Got some raspberries out of the freezer and warmed them up with a little sugar and topped with costard for desert-I've had them since 2009 so they needed using. i've been delving into the botttom of it you see! we have eaten very little bread recently and I still have some of my reduced fresh bread from a couple of weeks ago. Still no room in there though as I replaced the spaces with a huge tub of ice cream and some yorkies.(no not the terrier type):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
Hi everyone
I hope everyone is well and not letting the price of grocerys get them down. I don't know whether there will be a petrol shortage but I am going to make sure that I keep my cupboards full in case we end up with any problems ( I remember the miners strikes when I was young when the electric was turned off for hours at a time and there were 3 day weeks and shortages of food etc.) but I am not going to let this government upset and worry me cos I know we will cope.
However the last 2 months I have come in well under target so this month I am going to aim for £150 for April
Anyway enough of my ramblings
Have a good month everyone
Cuddles:)
June NSD 8/150
