You're still a pr!ck too. Been booked recently? No worries, you'll soon get one from the local council with your attitude to parking and p!ss!ing people off. Truth be told you probably work for a PPC yourself and in your sad little life this is the only outlet you have to make yourself feel better.

Gotta be said you're totally correct. I could of written something more meaningful than what ppc_guy wrote and been sincere about it too.

It's more than 80%, it's more like 100%. I worked for one of the biggest and I wasn't even putting out PCNs on vehicles yet they were still trying to scam people and other companies. Not one parking company is honest and the same goes for the councils too. Some of the staff are but the entire industry is shoddy and thats why I'm out of it. It doesn't matter how hard you try to be honest in parking, you can't change the actions of others in the industry and convince everyone that you're not all the same.

I bet you're full of BS myself. I've had members of the public say the same thing to me - I've still stuck a ticket on their car if they breach the rules. The only time I haven't is if I've been shown a police badge and told they're on official business / undercover - thats fair game obviously.

Telling a CEO they'll get nicked for criminal damage is BS. Under the RTA and the TMA they're allowed to lift your windscreen wiper and place a ticket there. Some councils won't lift the wiper, they'll slide the ticket under it or just use a sticky back envelope on the windscreen. This is not criminal damage. You're just a jumped up arrogant prat who thinks they can park where they want with no consideration for others. I've had drug dealers yelling into my face threatening me before now, they've still got a ticket so I don't think you'd worry too many CEOs quite frankly.

As for ticketing you after the restriction ended, yeah so what? If you were seen there earlier thats fair game. You parked there while the restriction was in force thats all that matters as long as the time you offended is different to the time of issue you're done for.

But what legal right do PPCs have to touch my car ?

I quite bluntly told one this morning that if he touches my car, he’ll be arrested for criminal damage. He scarpered pretty quickly after muttering to himself that I shouldn’t be parked half on the kerb on a double yellow.

Parked in the multi-storey to get my lunch about half and hour ago, quite clearly displaying a staff parking permit from the council and he was in the middle of writing another ticket! After being told the same thing and quite a vocal exchange, I don’t think he’ll be trying it again. This is the same little !!!!!! that ticketed me outside my house at 4.03pm (when the parking restrictions finish at 4pm) yesterday. Yes, I pulled up outside at about 3.30, but how is he to know that?

I bet I get called into District later on, as many of us had a problem with him when he worked for Ryanair.

Are you talking about real Council PCNs?

If so then appeal them with pepipoo's help:

Never just pay a council PCN, always appeal and get pepipoo help. Most cases win at adjudication after being rejected by the Council 'Computer says no' template at first.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nope, they’re NCP contracted in East Herts.

Although I moan when parents park at the back of the school, I also moan when I get ticketed for doing it. It just annoys me!

I would laugh if I got another fake PCN like an NCP one. Nice. :D

They don't but the person I was responding to quite clearly seemed to be suggesting that they were talking about a CEO who enforced on and off street.

I must advise you that you are in error. As long as you don't cause any damage, you can put a flyer, ticket, etc. on a car.

When I get a damaged wiper I'll be going to my nearest Homebase and collecting a G24 invoice. I'll then claim THEY damaged it and claim compensation !!!! In fact I'll carry the broken blade in the car and anytime I get a PPC invoice I'll just click it in, take a photo and issue THEM with an invoice. :D

In fact there's a whole new game to had here - broken or damaged wiper blades, scratches on the wing where the fat goons lean over to attach the fake PCN ..... the fun is endless !

Exactly where do they get the right to touch MY property from ?

Trespass to goods is defined as "wrongful physical interference with goods that are in the possession of another".

The key word is "wrongful". Causing damage, or even causing damage to be done by someone else is wrongful. Just touching isn't.
