That's why i park as far away from the front doors as i can and on the walk in put as many notices on cars about the fraudulent scammers as i can.

They are nothing but fraudsters who scam and the unknowing pay. Not for much longer, the word is getting out.

    Another inside info.

It is crap at times traipsing around looking for cars in the peeing down rain or the wind or the hail... but its just as rewarding to see the nice old dear who has worked all her life before being mugged by some scum and having her hip broken so she can walk far and has a mobility car be able to get into a space near a shop so she can comfortably walk in and do her weekly shopping.
Its also nice when people who come to the most expensive restaurant in a city/town park in the small butchers car park with 2 spaces to save his£3 on pay and display parking at the 500 space site across the road despite paying more in corkage on a bottle of plonk stop parking in said space as he has had 2 or 3 tickets, even if he hasn't paid.

Sure we get some stick of people calling us names throwing punches and spitting at us. but as said its a job.. I have a 2 year old son, a stepson and a missus to feed. I dont have a mortgage or a posh car but i get by.

I also try to be fair. I dont operate on any "free parking for 6 hours" supermarket sites Nor do i issue tickets for crap things like parking over the white line or having too many air fresheners on display BUT we would all be out of business if people just had some respect for other people and parked properly.

MY largest site at the minute is a housing estate about 400 metres from a train station and about 700m from a football ground. Both have adequate pay to park whereas the estate has 1 space per unit. Yes the developers could have provided more but they didnt so the situation stays. People day in day out without fail park in the spaces. This means a mum, a dad, brother, uncle, nan, grandad or someone else can't park at their house. This is inconsiderate. A person pays their rent to have this space and if they cant protect it how is that fair? Before people say put a bollard or a barrier in this isn't practical on this site.

What a poor attempt at trying to justify the unscrupulous actions of PPC's.

The solution is very simple. Have the roads adopted by the local authority so that the local authority carry out the enforcement.

All very honourable but the reality is that PPCs don't adhere to their own rules. My car got invoices on TWO separate occasions from G24 despite the driver sticking to the so called contract. Indeed G24 decided to break their contract with Nominet by providing a false address.

If you look at a thread I started about Aldi recently - one of those people who got an invoice had a valid ticket ( i.e. from the machine ). The Parking Eye goon issued an invoice because the driver left the site. This is DESPITE the local planning permission allowing Aldi to have a store there just as long as there was 3 hours free parking AND people could use other local businesses by parking there. Indeed the council had to take Aldi to court as initially they only allowed 2 hours free.

To try and suggest PPCs provide a valuable service is nonsense - their letters are full of lies and bullying. Their charges are penalties and there is no independent appeals process. If PPCs weren't scammers they wouldn't operate like this.

My essay wasn't an attempt to try and justify anything.. As many of you on here who have seen my posts know i dont condone how 80% of the companies in the private parking game operate.

HOWEVER there are some companies like mine who do actually try and do things right. We try to solve parking issues. We try and help landowners. We are fair in terms or appeals.

But still the overall thing is people like those who come on here and park inconsiderately keep us in a job. If tomorrow everyone woke up and learn some respect and manners in terms of parking we would all be shut down the next day. So if you want to actually put us out of business instead of focusing on enforceability, liability, probability or any other excuse why not just learn to park?

That's true, guy, if everyone parked properly not only PPCs, but also Council parking departments, would be out of business... or would they?

A high proportion of the complaints we get on here are to the effect that the ticket had no valid reason for its issue.

Like the old trick of first in, last out....

If the PPCs can't issue legitimate tickets, a lot (not yours of course) issue ones where actually, no one did anything wrong... that's what happens when collecting money is the main, or should I say only, motivation.

The driver of my car did park correctly and G24 STILL issued invoices so apologies but I have no faith that if people DID park correctly ( and who's correctly are we talking about ? ) that these scum would disappear.

When you think about it the only way that PPCs can make money is by dishing out "parking charge notices". The majority of car-parks they patrol are free - ranging from large retail parks and supermarkets to pub car parks. So no money there. Even if they do operate a P&D car park I doubt if there is much money to be made that way. Finally they usually don't charge a fee to the landowner, in fact some PPCs pay a £10 "bounty" to self-ticketing landowners.

So the parking charge notice is their only source of real income. This was highlighted by that stupid clamper who tried to sue a restaurant owner for "loss of earning" when the man put up a notice in his window warning his customers not to park on the adjacent piece of land because they could be clamped.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

PPC drones are probably like any other job. There will be good and bad. As it's a bad job, I doubt that any "good" ones are going to last very long since it is only the tickets they issue that pay everyone's wages. At the other end of the scale there will be megalomaniacs who like the thought of causing people grief as it gives them a feeling of power. Of course the companies will see these as the "successful" ones.

I quite bluntly told one this morning that if he touches my car, he’ll be arrested for criminal damage. He scarpered pretty quickly after muttering to himself that I shouldn’t be parked half on the kerb on a double yellow.

Parked in the multi-storey to get my lunch about half and hour ago, quite clearly displaying a staff parking permit from the council and he was in the middle of writing another ticket! After being told the same thing and quite a vocal exchange, I don’t think he’ll be trying it again. This is the same little !!!!!! that ticketed me outside my house at 4.03pm (when the parking restrictions finish at 4pm) yesterday. Yes, I pulled up outside at about 3.30, but how is he to know that?

I bet I get called into District later on, as many of us had a problem with him when he worked for Ryanair.
