what a hype for nothing :rotfl: the total is £38.25 :rotfl: so full it will prob hold £80 at the most so my mum would have been right if it was full
ah well it was a bit of fun... still its an extra load of cash to throw at my car savings
will put the oddsies in the new tin though... now which design this time :rotfl:
edit: i just worked it out as a days work (just) so i suppose its a big achivement really0 -
Hi PAP, I've voted for waiting until it's full I'm afraid! I think that when you can no longer fit any more 5ps in then that's the time to open it! You will have more in there (obviously!) and you'll enjoy all the money more!
I too am in the same dilema, but with 1ps, 2ps and 5ps in a giant cola bottle! It's so tempting to have a count as to what's in there (it will take years to fill it!), but have resisted so far! At the moment, I don't want to waste the money and see it disappear into a debt, I want to save it until I'm able to treat myself with it!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

Well now we know:rotfl: It is a good idea to look at it as a days work - I bet it seems like a lot more now:D
I have a complicated seried of money boxes and tins, and save various things in each. I have my 'found' money box, which as the name suggests contains any money that I find, be it 1p or £1. I will be counting that at the end of the olympic challenge.
I then have a mortgage dragon - he gets silver and the rare piece of gold.
I then have my tin for £2 coins - when that is full I will be using it to speed up debt repayment.
Finally DS has a money box for any coppers we get.
Since finding MSE I have become obsessed with saving in money boxes and if I had any more space on the shelf I would be getting another one:rotfl:

£38.25 for 'nothing' is good though! You don't even notice 5p's going missing from your pockets! Nice one!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

We've got a £2 tin similar to your posting but minus the hedgehog.. lol ours has got a handy written label on it covered the original 'swear tin' sticker and it reads quote 'The saving-£2-coins-so-we-can-buy-a-big-posh-tv-thats-bigger-and-better-than-bald-mans-fund'.
LOL.
We've got £60 in it so far which is a loooooong way off a big posh tv so it may well be used as a small emergency fund instead! lol!
~edit to explain that 'bald man' is our friend who recently bought a 40" toshiba flatscreen tv. Dh is VERY jealous.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
