  • It sounds like you have a lot of money in there. I would open it, count it and pay it straight into you car saving account where it will earn interest and put you closer to your goal.

    I had a tin like that and i made the hole bigger so i could get the money out when needed and it didn't ruin the tin. I would leave the money in there till it's full

    i think you should change a load of £5 notes into 5p pieces and put them in the tin - then you can open it :rotfl:

    actually i did change £4.50 into 5ps today but it didnt make a dent in the level :rotfl:
  • Hi pap - I too don't think you should open it until you are certain what you want to do with the money :o
    I know it's tempting, but if you bank it into notes, then it will just get swallowed up with everyday spending.
    A good lesson to 'resist temptation' ;)
