I'll have another go:
Under English Law, you owe this company nothing at all. They will not take you to court because they will lose and they know it. They haven't got a legal leg to stand on. If they WERE stupid enough to take you to court you would win hands down, and you could counterclaim and get money from them.
You will not end up being told by a court to pay them £100's of pounds. The law doesn't work like this here, or in EU either.
There. Either take that advice or pay parking eye whatever stupid sum of money they are asking for that you don't legally owe them nor are obliged by any law to pay.
If you query this advice further it will confirm the suspicions I first had about you about ten or more posts further up the page.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
Seriously. If the hire car company have paid this invoice then that is their problem, they should know better!
You dont have to pay anyone £100 because you dont owe anyone £100, not now and not in the future either.
The hire car company have been taken in by a scam. Dont you be taken in by the same scam!0 -
after reading all your advices (sometimes with vocabulary) I decided not to pay. I want to say: thank you all even for the irony0

I'm new to posting so bear with me.
I've read advice over the last few weeks since receiving a parking charge notice from ParkingEye the middle of October and I've been ignoring the letters and this morning received a county court claim form (summons I think they use to be called). I'm the keeper and was the driver and to be honest I did ignore the signs and stayed a few hours over whilst I went into town. My scanner isn't working but I'll try scan the docs on to here if I can at work in the next day or so....
I'm thinking of paying it now as I'm mad busy and doubt I could defend it...I've been back to the car park and there are signs everywhere.

Is this "claim" stamped by any court or can you verify it on Moneyclaim?
Sending out fake/unstamped court papers is a well known scare tactic with PPC's, so do verify it before you decide what to do next.0 -
Before paying it please post this on https://www.pepipoo.com they can help you a lot with this.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I haven't got it on me, but it had Northampton something and I'm sure it was stamped with something...I'll have a look at pepipoo0
