Hi All :hello:
Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Cant believe sunday is here again..
I visited my grandparents yesterday as its my grans birthday this week so thought i'd visit as i am closest to my grandparents. Made her a birthday cake too (had a small slice)
Couldnt really stick to the plan yesterday, had half a tin of baxters pea & ham soup with 1.5 slices of brown bread followed by 3 chocolate chip cookies. Then went out for a meal for our dinner - had steak & chips with veggies then shared a dessert with my grandad - we had a sticky toffee pudding & a couple of glasses of white wine. Felt so guilty afterwards
On the plus side i didnt have anything else to eat and me & gran went for an afternoon walk which was 30 minutes or so then i had to walk 20 minutes from victoria train station to picadilly train station in Manchester. As i missed the last tram in sheffield i got a taxi half way home and walked the rest of the way so it was after 12 when i got in last night. I am hoping the walking will go some way towards the biscuits/sticky toffee pud & wine i had.
Today has been much better - so far i have had
B - Plain porridge made with half skimmed milk/water with a handful of blueberries and chopped apple in.
L - Tuna neopolitana - 2.5 syns for the sauce
D - Baked potato topped with quorn mince beef with peas/sweetcorn/onion/mushrooms/peppers and carrots cooked in beef stock with a dollop of tomato puree
snacks - Low fat toffee muller light, 2 light babybel cheeses (HEXA), some dried apple ( HEXB ) and after dinner i am having 2 meringues (6 syns) with strawberries, raspberries & blackberries
Its weigh in for me tomorrow .. not expecting to have lost anything but will see.
ETA - tried plums for the first time yesterday. They were ok. Going to buy one this week i think

Well its back to work after two weeks off tomorrow and a good time to really cut back on food. Have packed up leftover chicken dinner for lunch.

I'm just making syn free soft cheese from a recipe on Mini-Mins. I can't post a link from my iPad, but basically you season 0% Total yogurt with salt pepper and garlic, put it in a clean muslin in a sieve the put a weight on top to force the liquid out? You leave it in the fridge overnight, then in the morning you should be left with a syn free Boursin type cheese. I'd only eat it with a meal as I know it's not technically 'free' but as there's no fat in it I figure it'll make a nice change from cottage cheese.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator
