Hello,
I hope you don't mind me posting.. I haven't done before but I have been following this thread since I joined SW 8 weeks ago. I have lost 16 pounds but have a loooong way to go yet!
I sympathise with you on this weighing in dilemma.. i can't stop myself jumping on the scales daily either, even tho I know it's not a good idea.
I wondered about giving up the salty foods that you have included.. crisps and bacon.. maybe you are drinking more to compensate for being thirsty? I don't know, maybe a thought.
Fingers crossed for my WI on Monday, I haven't been swimming this week and have had more wine than usual.
Hello maureen and welcome to the thread
When I made the bacon quiche yesterday and then bacon on toast it really was a one off for me as I dont usually eat much bacon, it was in the fridge needing to be used so I used it.
I agree it is salty, as are my french fries crisps or quavers I have every night as they are my syns and I cannot live without them :rotfl:,
I dont drink lots because I dislike tea, coffee and water, so its usually sugar free squash or flavoured fizzy water, and I also take water tablets daily for my heart condition so I know I am not holding water.
These problems are recent for me, the first five stone was a doddle compared to my struggles at the moment.
I really am at a loss as to where I am supposedly going wrong.
On a lighter note, very well done on your losses so far, keep up the good work your doing grand.x
Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

While your willpower at Pizza Hut is very commendable:T, I was wondering why you didn't have a bit of salad or a tomato based pasta. Do they not do that at Pizza Hut buffets any more?
I had looked on the SW website before I went and saw some lowish synned pasta dishes that I was going to go for (some that were under 10 syns) but when I got there they had changed the menu and I didn't want to choose badly. I had a look at the salad bar but it was very uninspiring and TBH in true MSE fashion I refused to pay £5.99 for a couple of limp lettuce leaves, cucumber and cherry tomatoes.Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Gettingthere54, don't mind me saying this but when I first read your comment about the three pineapples some days ago I was just open-mouthed . I know they are "free", well "superfree", but to eat three all on your own during a week may be excessive. I bought 2 this week as they were special offer in Sainos (they'll last me 2 weeks) and my shopping bags were heavy, how much must three weigh ? That weight all went inside you, along with the rest of the food .... I know it gets used up eventually on energy and waste but can your body process so much of one thing in a short time, I don't know
. I do know people are advised not to overdose on grapes and bananas, perhaps have too much of any one thing, even if free, is not to be recommended. Also, do try to drink loads of liquids, it helps to process stuff through and out! And we all go up and down during the day and during the week, some people suggest looking at weight loss over a rolling 4 week period so you can see it going down and not be too stressed about the ups.
And stop weighing yourself between official WIs!!:D:D:D I'm sure it will all settle by next WI, or if not by the one after as long as you are following the plan.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Sorry back now. Got caught up washing up then BGT etc....
how long have you been doing SW and do you do mostly green/red or extra easy?
More ideas
Go back to basics, keep a food diary. Even better, find a diary from when you first joined or had a really good loss and follow that menu for the week.
Measure EVERYTHING!
Read your book ! (its amazing what you forget/miss)
Play superfree bingo. Type up all superfree foods on to a page - how quickly can you cross them all off?
Have a week where you don't repeat a Healthy B option.
shake things up - try new things / go out for a meal and have something you wouldn't usually have.
ensure you have at least 5 syns a day0 -
yipeeee
well so far the weightloss is headed the right direction - as of this evening i am 12st 11 1/4lbs... i know i know, you're not meant to weigh inbetween WI's, but i find that it helps me stay on track, and if the track is headed back the wrong way, it allows me a chance to try and fix it before too much damage is done.
*hopes for her 2st loss award on thursday*I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -

Oh no! Just been out today and bought a six pack, thanks for the warning though. I'm not really a big yogurt eater but I do like these so ones...just my luck! Think I'll give them to my mum instead.0 -
Hi Everyone (old and new) and sorry I haven't been around for a while. It's been exactly a month since I was last here and it's been rather eventful - a case of real life getting in the way.
I've put on weight but I know exactly what I've done and I'm disgusted with myself. However, it's time to move on and I spent the weekend reading the latest mag and some of my SW cookery books. I'm getting back on the wagon this week.
Started this morning with a 30 min walk at 6am (punishment!) and here's hoping I can get back to where I was. It's unbelievable how quickly we can put on what has taken us months to lose!
