  • Weighed in this morning 2.5lb lighter! Might just be the difference between weighing in the evening and chaging to the morning but I still celebrating dropping below 12 stone!!

    You've consistantly lost weight for months now. 5 stone is a lot to loose.
    You're a sensible lass, for all things there is an explaination.
    As you have gained every time you have stepped on the scales ...
    Stop panicing and STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALES!

    You'll be in a right tizzy come wi on wednesday.

    I'm guessing that several things may be happening.
    1. Try something different, both on the menu and exercise wise. I think you're body has gone into storage mode, so it needs a shock. Otherwise it'll horde calories for when you do your walk/run.
    2. How close are you to target? (I'll come back to this)
    3. Believe it or not you'll be tensing up on the scales, (While your mind is fretting over what it's going to show. Stay relaxed... breath slow and regular, don't over fill your lungs, or force muscles to tighten.
    4. Make sure you breath correctly when exercising. Can mess up your blood pressure, therefore your burn rate and oxygen levels.
    5. Get an SAS perhaps from your consultant.
    6. BACK TO BASICS!
    7. Too many eggs, not enough of the [STRIKE]cardboard[/STRIKE] - I mean fibre. Ryvita, weetabix, scanbran... all bran....
    8. Remember just cause something was only 5 syns last week they may have changed the contents and therefore the syn value...

    I can honestly say that I dont ever cheat or even go a little bit over on the syns. I am aware of the values of all the foods and therefore do not go overboard.

    I am not doing anything different than what I have always done. I know I should not go on the wii scales but I somehow cannot help myself.
    When I put on my tunic this morning for work it did feel a little tighter around the middle ( or was I just imagining it ) I dont know, but what I do know is that I am getting uptight about the whole situation and dont know what to do for the best.
    So far today I had porridge made with water and a pear.
    Lunch was half of the quiche that was made yesterday with half a tin of baked beans.
    That's all I have had today along with a small bottle of fizzy flavoured water as I dont drink tea and coffee.
    I need to get to 11 stone 8 and a half pounds to get to target, at the moment I stand at 12 stone 4 pounds so I have 9 and a half pounds to target.
    I really need to see this through, I dont want to fall at the last hurdle but the way I feel at the moment its looking like I may do.

    I am the same. My wiifit board is a bit dodgy when the batteries get low.

    What would I do, 9lbs from target? (I wish I was!!!) I'd check the batteries on my wiifit. As you yourself have said, that kind of gain doesn't make sense. Not in a week.

    I'd talk to the consultant, first.
    Did you set your target or did you use some BMI indicator?
    There are alot of couldbe's.

    Wii scales can be very dodgy as can weighing on carpet etc. The answer is use the wii but not the weight bit BUT we all know the need to weigh every day, even me. I say weigh once a week but I sneaky peek at least twice so am no angel.
    Can only suggest limiting weighing to maybe once or twice a week. Keep the faith, you WILL get to target. If I can do it anyone can :p
    Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    This wed eve was WI for me. For some unknown reason I gained half a pound :mad:, that to some people may not sound too bad but to me it was bad, I did not deserve this and can honestly say that not one bit of chocolate passed my lips at easter time or since. The only explanation I can think of was that I greedily devoured 3 whole fresh pineapples myself. Well, they are free arent they?
    So Thursday morning came and I decided to have a green day.
    Breakfast was HEB with a scraping of jam.
    Lunch was tomato and onion pasta with a huge side salad, lettuce toms and cucumber,
    tea was a jacket potato and baked beans.
    Drinking chocolate in the eve for my HEA and 2 pkts of crisps for my syns.
    With a couple of apples, an orange and a pear in between.
    So Friday morning I jumped on my wii to be weighed, and to my ABSOLUTE HORROR :mad: found that my weight had GONE UP BY 3LB.
    I thought, no way, not ever, what can I have done?
    So I dutifully got on with it Friday and decided on a red day.
    Breakfast was 2 small ww bread, dipped in 2 eggs and dry fried in the frying pan.
    Lunch was butternut sqauash soup and a quarter of a quiche which consisted of 4 eggs, bacon, toms and a tub of cottage cheese with onion and chives.
    Tea was 2 ww bread toasted without butter with 2 slices of bacon on.
    Syns was 2 pkts of crisps.

    Got home from work at 2.15 today after having a sachet of porridge this morning made with water and I have GAINED 2 MORE POUNDS!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
    Please someone tell me whats going on??
    What am I suddenly doing wrong after more than 5 stone lost??
    It's not a * week for me cos I dont have them anymore and so I am at a loss.
    I have not stuffed myself with junk or otherwise but at the moment I am now really p****d off and ready to jack in.
    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME! :rotfl::D:):o

    Firstly big pat on the back and well done for your achievements so far. :j:D:T

    Weight loss is a funny thing and nothing ever goes to plan or happens how we want it to.

    As you indicate in your post that you attend a class then this should be the only time you step on the scales. The sw scales are properly calibrated. our scales at home are not and things like carpet v bathroom floor v kitchen floor can all make a difference to what the scales display. I don't have a wi fit so can't comment but I doubt they are accurate.

    Our weight can fluctuate by several pounds from the moment we get up to the moment we go to bed and at our group, a common grumble is when I weighed this morning, I was "x" pounds lighter...

    Oh God - I think this week will be written off. I have been busy making food for Dad's party tomorrow and have found myself picking and tasting everything as I go.

    I have no idea how many syns I'll have eaten as it wasn't a portion of anything, just a lick of a spoon here and there.

    I have made 2 massive bowls of tattie salad (low fat mayo!) and 2 huge cheesecakes (full fat marscapone cheese + icing sugar).

    I think if I had eaten a slice of cheesecake and enjoyed it I wouldn't feel so bad as I do just now.

    Please help me get my mojo back :(

    So this week, I had 5 syns on Mon, 3 syns Tues, 25 syns Wed, 0 syns, 25 syns Fri, ???? syns today and then I have the party tomorrow but I'm driving so wont have any alcohol syns

    While your willpower at Pizza Hut is very commendable:T, I was wondering why you didn't have a bit of salad or a tomato based pasta. Do they not do that at Pizza Hut buffets any more?

    Hello,
    I hope you don't mind me posting.. I haven't done before but I have been following this thread since I joined SW 8 weeks ago. I have lost 16 pounds but have a loooong way to go yet!
    I sympathise with you on this weighing in dilemma.. i can't stop myself jumping on the scales daily either, even tho I know it's not a good idea.
    I wondered about giving up the salty foods that you have included.. crisps and bacon.. maybe you are drinking more to compensate for being thirsty? I don't know, maybe a thought.
    Fingers crossed for my WI on Monday, I haven't been swimming this week and have had more wine than usual.
