    Morning all,

Well I've finally done it, I've joined Slimming World yesterday. I was a member quite a few years ago and had good weight loss so hopefully it will work again (and stay off this time )
We've had a few family problems for which food has been the comforter but this is no longer going to be an excuse/reason for my weight, it's me that's put the food in there not the problems.

I do feel a little bit obsessed with food this morning, checking what is and isn't free food etc but I am sure I will soon get into the swing of things. Oh and hubby has just told me this morning that we are going out tomorrow for FIL's birthday, will just be careful and choose wisely off the menu.

I think this thread will be great extra support on my weight loss journey

morning all, working a twelve hour shift at hospital yesterday, this is normally come undone as we can help ourselves to the food, as we're supposed to sit with patients whilst they eat, anyway I didn't give in and had my home made chicken soup hoping for a weight loss on Monday so stayed away from the booze as well although after 12 hours on a really busy mental health ward a could have killed for a class of vino well done on the looses!!!

    have a lovely friday everyone!!!

    Good morning :)

Not been around much the last couple of days been so busy but thought I would report on WI last night.........

I lost 1.5lbs and DD lost 1/2lb :j I was chuffed to bits saying that I had 2 takeaways and a meal out with the family on Monday ohhhhh and the night before WI I ate half an easter egg, a flake an a kit kat :o I'm on my period and its the only time I crave chocolate. So that 3.5lbs in 2 weeks, not a huge amount but I'm happy considering all the crap I've had this week.

Onwards and upwards to having an A* week, really want to get a good weight loss one week...

    Have a nice weekend everyone

    Hello all,

Can someone help me please? I am starting extra easy after being on green/red for a while. I can't imagine how I will lose weight on EE with all of the carbs but it seems to work for you guys! Usually have 2 green and 5 red per week.

Can someone check I've got the hang of this (particularly breakfast)?

    B - 2 x Hovis Nimble White (B), low-fat spread (2 syns)

S - around 10am I plan to have a banana which would be my 1/3 superfree food from breakfast. Can't possibly stomach anything other than toast in the mornings

L - Amoy straight to wok medium noodles (2.5 syns), chicken (free) mushrooms (1/3 SF), 15ml Heinz BBQ sauce (1 syn)

D - Bacon and mushroom (1/3 SF) risotto with frylight (free?)

HEA - Milk for my tea
    HEB - 2 x Hovis Nimble
    Syns - 5.5 syns

does that look right? Am I allowed snacks in between too? fruit or free or synned items? could i have a handful of tomatoes or a slice of ham if I got hungry? or has it got to be 3 square meals?

Aggh cross with myslef - popped to tesco before work and thought I'd get some mw rice for at work for emergencies when i don't have lunch with me. Bought to packets of Uncle bens only to read it afterwards and find it is covered in oil....so annoyed with myself for not checking. i reckon its about 2 sysn per half bag so not the end of the world I just assumed it woudl be free :(

AAAAAAnd they didn't have ff cottage cheese so still can't make this blessed quiche! I know asda do it so will pop in there on the way home.

  • For anyone like me who likes a glass of wine with dinner but struggles to not keep going once the bottle is open...

Tesco had some of their small bottles reduced yesterday. The Australian Cabernet-Merlot was down to ££1.29 (£1.23 if you buy 6) and works out at 6.5 syns a bottle.

Looks fine to me though I'm no expert. Personally I add a bit more veg either to the meals (maybe peppers or brocolli with the stir fry) or things like carrot sticks for snacks. The more superfree the better I say - as its good for you plus makes you less likely to snack on other stuff. If you used plain noodles rather than straight to wok they'd be free too :)
