Good luck with your dissertation Nessie, I handed mine in 2 weeks ago, it was so good to be rid of it!
Food today:
Green as usual
A for milk
Coffee
1 x weetabix(3), nana, yoghurt, tea
Omelette with cheese(A)
Macaroni cheese with 2x A of cheese, SW chips
Kitkat (5.5), curly wurly (6) - these are listed as 6.5 but I wonder if the multipack ones are smaller? As I checked and mine are 115 calories which is 6 syns is it not? I'm going with 6 and I dont care! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hi
I have dieted with SW on about 6 different occasions and mostly done well. However my last attempt failed miserably and since then I have put on about 3st!!! I can't go back to group as a colleague from work is a target member and does the weighing and as she joined with me last time I feel too much of a failure to show my face again.
my 16 year old daughter weighs the same as me and i feel we need to do something together so will try to post here and follow meals and advice.
Please help to motivate me!!!!!0 -

could you not go back to a different group just to get the books? theres a voucher for free membership in reveal at the moment and i'd take advantage of it, lots of HE values have changed from the old ones so while its £4.95 a go its worth it. the back of it will give you something to keep a record of your progress too.
tbh, this thread has been more useful than the classes ever were and paying £4.95 to clap other people and hear 20 people all say they had a jacket potato and SW chips all week just started to seem like a complete waste of money to me.0 -

Very true:rotfl: Consultant was lovely and all that but I sat through 2 meetings thinking I could be doing much more productive things with my time and money! Meetings are not for me:p Between this thread and minimins I have all the support I need. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I said earlier that I find this thread more supportive than the classes, however I still go cause I find having to weigh myself in public keeps me focused, I was doing really well at class last year and decided to go it alone and next thing I'm back were I started so for me its worth the expense, although I do hate the clappy cwappyget rid of all the pounds by summer !!

i had a sneaky nosey at my scales this morning - it says im 12st 12.5lb... well actually it says im 12st 13.5 lbs, but my scales will generally weigh between .75-1.0lb heavier than the WI ones.
it'll be an interesting WI though, because my friend ate all her easter eggs plus various other things i mentioned, and ive eaten half my easter chick total, so we'll see what the craic is.
im hoping for a loss, but in reality, i reckon it will be a STS week, which i guess i should be happy with (but i know i wont be lol)
i think i might try making the SW quiche before i go to work - maybe can take some with me, or have some with broccoli for a late lunch/dinner.
girlies quick q: do any of you ever eat after 6? a friend from work who used to do the plan before she got pregnant, said she swore that eating after 6 made her loss less effective? but i dont know if she was talking kack or if there is any truth behind it
As someone else said. Twaddle.
You could base on the theory that if you go home and sit down (say you finish at 5pm) then you're not active any longer. so anything you eat is "stored" for morning.
Following that on, to keep your metabolism at a higher rate, walk home from the bus/train or go for a walk after tea to get your heart pumpin a little more. I am told that the higher "burn" rate remains with you for about 20 to 30 minutes after your done. So to keep it ticking I suppose you could run up and down the stairs every twenty minutes...
I think most of have better things to do. I'll do my Wiifit/zumba(still learning to wriggle) for 30 minutes every other night. That'll do.I'm doing my first ever EE day, need abit of advice, I made a big salad with fat free drizzle of dressing and jacket spud with tuna and quark for my lunch, I've made a big pan of veg soup with soup mix (peas etc) in it, is this ok to have or shall I freeze it for a green day?? just had milk for one a and not had a b as yet oh and no breckie, I got busy and forgot so went straight onto lunch
I used a Witworths soup mix the other day, lentils peas, other pulses, added some ham and various left over veg. Frozen just fine for me. I think the whole packet was 1 syn. Though it does expand alot when it defrosts!
Use fat free cottage cheese instead (300g) with 3 eggs! & make sure it is seasoned! Then it will be gorgeous!
Can i come back???
Been away for long time - so much on - especially with doing my dissertation (due on 27th!) giving up smoking, working full time, trying to keep DH with OCD undercontrol and keeping the house spick & span!
Probably put on weight since i left - but i am doing the sponsored slim again - so 6 weeks to get as much money out of people as poss - by losing as much as i can!
So happy for MrsM - miss her being on here!
Glad to see friendly 'faces' still here as well as a few newbies!
Hope to post a bit more - but i should really be doing my dissertation!!!
Good luck for WI's xxx
Welcome back!:D
Wow...so many things happen in a day.. plenty to ready while I wait for my greek style muller to defrost enough NOT to bend my spoon(s!) :rotfl:
Frogga- not a silly little frog at all, the fact that you caught yourself doing it and corrected it just goes to show how determined /strong you are now.:T Part of the market hype of SW is "putting you in control" of your food. Looks like it's working!
Sorry for all the other posts I've missed. Not really feeling it today, really low! I suspect it's lack of sleep.Supposed to be weigh in tonight, but the consultant that I joined with has left, she was only looking after the group. So who knows who we'll have tonight, not sure if I'll even go right now. The half of a toasted teacake won't help any either
day by day I seem to be wandering further off track!

TakeitEasy, I see you carry on doing SW even though your on target!!! When I've lost before I've convinced myself I'm naturally thin and just start eating carp again I need to get my head around this is for life
I carry on with sw as like you say 'its for life' otherwise I too would be back where I started. Its not easy is it? Its so much easier to gain weight, even drinking makes me gain
. My only regret is not having my head in the right place as a young mum. My son [18] is a none swimmer and I blame myself for being too fat and uncomfortable in a swim suit to take him swimming. Being skint and not affording lessons was to blame too
.
Your smash meal sounds yum, my comfort food is cheesy smash. Will try grilling it instead next time.
Can I just say NO-ONE should apologise for coming 'back' in here. Think of this room as having an ever open door, welcome mat in permanent position. Just drop in whenever you feel the need, theres always someone willing to help motivate us :A:A:A
Keep the faith allIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

This just tickled me :rotfl::rotfl:. In my class we have a lot of people who stuff them selves full of curry, alcohol and other takeaways and then dont understand why they have put on or sts :lipsrseal
