girlies quick q: do any of you ever eat after 6? a friend from work who used to do the plan before she got pregnant, said she swore that eating after 6 made her loss less effective? but i dont know if she was talking kack or if there is any truth behind it

    personally I'd say talking kack.
Your body is like a car and food=fuel. Its like saying if you put the fuel in at a certain time (at night) it won't use as much to do a journey. It doesn't matter when you eat it, it's maths really if you put more in than you use up it stores as fat doesn't matter when it goes in. I think that this was an old wife's tale!!
On the other hand if you work out you have a 'window' of around 30 mins after a good work out to eat proteins and your body will make the best use of them, other than that, personally I think its twaddle. I used to go to bed hungry in the believe that I was 'eating' fat :rotfl:

I usually have my evening meal at 7ish but as it is the main meal of the day I don't snack after it. I'll have a couple of cups of coffee in the evening but nothing else to eat. Bearing in mind that most days I am not home from work until after 6pm it would be an impossibility for me to not eat after 6.

just made a ham quiche (was gonna have ham and mushroom but they looked too smooshy) with a couscous base.

its nice for a first attempt, but i think i need to find a way of adding more flavour. there's 3 eggs, a small pot of total 0% yoghurt and ham in it. didnt want to use my healthy A as cheese in case it was rotten and needed to make something else lol

Use fat free cottage cheese instead (300g) with 3 eggs! & make sure it is seasoned! Then it will be gorgeous!

    Can i come back???

Been away for long time - so much on - especially with doing my dissertation (due on 27th!) giving up smoking, working full time, trying to keep DH with OCD undercontrol and keeping the house spick & span!

Probably put on weight since i left - but i am doing the sponsored slim again - so 6 weeks to get as much money out of people as poss - by losing as much as i can!

So happy for MrsM - miss her being on here!

Glad to see friendly 'faces' still here as well as a few newbies!

Hope to post a bit more - but i should really be doing my dissertation!!!

    Good luck for WI's xxx
