When I'm not trying to loose weight he eats whatever I cook and complains if I use sauces claiming he likes 'plain food', as soon as I start trying to loose he then devotes himself to pizza and fast food!! he's very slim btw and when I met him so was I anyway it just makes me more determined now!!!

oh noooooo - a friend has just popped round with 4 huge buttery hand made croissants in exchange for some eggs - I can't fight it. I shall have half of 1 with a little jam...no extra butter needed.

eta - oh my it was ood - I stopped at half and will run 5km tonight to make up for it!

    7.5 syns well spent!

    Morning all!

Weigh in looms tomorrow so have been good over the weekend - have had 2 Cadbury's mini eggs and one glass of wine and that is it for the syns!

Yesterday I walked before my breakfast - 3 laps of the block = 3 miles, but I motivated myself to run the lats bit! Then after breakfast I cycled 3 miles and went swimming - this time I managed 50 lengths! Then I cycled back!

Then i made the mistake of sitting down with a cup of tea and ended up very stiff!

My scales showing no loss/small gain so I am hoping that the S/W scales will show different - given that my halo is still shining brightly I am assuming that the extra exercise is contributing to the slowdown!

Still - I feel good though - i didn't want to run the last bit this morning - I'm still a bit stiff, but I am still coming to terms with the fact that I could run as far as I did! And ENJOY it!

    morning :)

I've managed to find my wagon and climb on it, now trying to find the balance... :o

I was really bad the last two days and it doesn't feel good :( why do we stuff our faces even tho it's nothing to enjoy and only makes us feel terrible afterwards? :(

I'm back on track and will try to have 5 super express days ie. as much veg and fruit as possible and as low in syns as possible... sts will be a miracle by next WI and if I gain there will be no surprise :o

So for breakfast I made omlettes, first one I shared with bf was with smoked salmon and sweetcorn hm paste(SW of course) and the next(one each) were 'sweet' version with ff greek youghurt, banana and pineapple :D bf got extra nutella and squirty cream too and couldn't stop telling me how yummy it was  I never used to make omlettes as I always had problems with turning them :o but the more I make the better they come out :D

lunch will be roast duck crown and roast veg

dinner will probably be something made with xl turkey mince but haven't got an idea what...

back to work tomorrow  I can't belive I had 24 days off

need to plan tomorrow's food very carefully today...

hope you all have a good day with no unwanted temptations :)

so far ive managed to have no eggs (despite the fact that i have 3 and a cadbury easter chick with buttons in it - my faaaaaavourite :( )

though my scales are showing that im around 12st 13.5 :S ive been pretty good all week though so im gonna avoid the scales til wednesday... atm im blaming it on my little friend paying a visit .. hoping it takes a bit of weight away with it lol

so what is everyone up to today? im doing nothing since its my only day off over easter and this week coming is manic with kids and house counts etc..

my friend who is on SW with me has had a bad week IHO, she has managed to eat a whole bag of candyfloss, a whole bag of mini eggs, a huge roast dinner and a full easter egg (milky bar bluebell egg and cow)... shes now panicking because her WI is the same day as mine and she has it in her head shes gonna put on loads of weight. her problem is that she hates vegetables, and only will eat fruit (trying to get her to try new fruits to give her more of a choice) .. any ideas to help her?
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

I really admire those of you who managed to stay good over Easter! :T

re the veg: maybe she should try to give as many different ones as possible a go and see if she can find any that she could 'manage' to eat? or canned veg? soups? blended into sauces? veg omlettes or breakfast muffins?

No comment from me on the syns I have munched this week! Frustrated is an understatement! Weigh in tomorrow and not expecting anything but a gain and know I will be gutted but I only have myself to blame.

Anyhow, I know that meal planning is the key to me succeeding with the plan so I was thinking of setting up a slimming world thread dedicated to menus and meal planning ?? what do fellow posters think?

PS Hope everyone is having a lovely easter monday :j lay in followed by only fools and horses can't be beaten!!
  • I am dreading weigh in tomorrow as Wednesday & Thursday were complete blow outs!! I have been really good since to compensate but not sure it is enough. I will be happy with at least a STS this week.

i know i shouldnt laugh but watching her try onions is hilarious... ive grown up with her since we were 11 (now nearly 25) and if there is someone in the house she doesnt know, she'll try and be polite and eat them, but oh dear lord is her face funny... its like a sour lemon face discreetly lol! if its anyone she knows, she'll pick them out.

omlettes are good, but again she picks the veg out... im wondering if i can make the SW quiche for her and blend something into the eggs?

gutted. just checked out the syn value for my cadbury chick (the yellow one with buttons inside).... 44.5 SYNS!!!! thats more than a small egg! i could eat a whole small hollow egg and still be better off lol!

Would she be able to eat homemade vegetable soup. Even my kids who are not fans of soup will eat this.

I made a carrot and sweet potato soup today and that went down a treat.
