now I know nobody likes being ill but the fact that I can't even get in the shower without leaving the door unlocked at the moment and someone else being in the house because I randomly faint has pushed me to the edge!
Hope everyone is doing ok and I can't wait to be back on the weight loss wagon! :)

get him to check your blood cell levels - i cant remember which it was (white or red), but a year or two back, my brother kept randomly fainting and the doctor eventually found out one of his levels was abnormal. (after losing his results 3 times)
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

    morning ladies!!!

how is everyone? Anything strange or startling? Plan is going ok, had a bad day on saturday (and had to do damage control on saturday :o) though the less said about that, the better!

feeling a little queazy this morning so i have a small punnet of strawberries near me to eat when i stop spinning (i think it was how i slept last night) Anywho!..... Ive decided that im determined to be a max of 12st by the beginning of december as it will allow me a few lbs to play around with in NYC and over the christmas fortnight. Ive figured out that as it stands at the minute, by next june the heaviest i can be is 12st 8lb (had another dress fitting for my friends wedding the other night).. so i think if i aim for 12st it means that i wont be under too much stress if i gain a pound or two :)

anyway, i may go and finalise my plan for this weeks meals. Has anyone tried the beef bourguignon in this months magazine? im tempted to make it tonight (looks gorg!):p

I'm going to try the bouruignon this week.

    Well done Blodwen :T
Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.
  • Vicki - glad to hear from you as I was wondering what was going on - I just can't believe that they still haven't got to the bottom of it - no wonder you are screaming mad, anyone would be. I really hope that seeing the same doctor now will help and wishing you all the best.

Blodwen - well done on your loss - my anniversary also this weekend but my DH has done a runner and gone off to the UK to visit his parents! Looks like I'll be celebrating on my own!

Thanks for keeping us up to speed vicki. Poor you!:( Fingers crossed that this doctor is really going to pursue the matter.

Interesting to hear your current thing abaout ratatouille mm. i seem to get fixated on things too. I went through a period of lentil and vegeable soup last winter then got into either bubble&squeak from LO veg or stir-fry with noodles. All good healthy stuff!;)

I tend to add a tin of red kidney beans to things to bulk them up as they tend to be much cheaper over here than baked beans. They're good added to pasta salad too.

Will update properly when i am awake later and my visitors have left and son back at school.

Thinking about a conversation that was had on here a few weeks ago with regards to numbers of those who pay and weigh v those who stay to class i were asked last thursday if i would mind popping on the paying section as a few members were missing due to bereavment. Anyway, this week 28 current members paid, 7 new members joined and only 18 stayed to group this included the newbies. I appreciate this was a lower member level than most weeks due to people having the last week as holiday but i think it gives some perspective into how many do actually stay behind.
It also threw out the consultants theory that if you pay for a countdown then you are more likely to be commited to the plan - 2 ladies renewed their 12 weeks and quickly weighed and fled.

It might have been my thread Stef. I mentioned this very thing anyway. I think it's a real shame that more people don't stay because it could be a really good hour couldn't it? I don't want to drive 10 miles, get weighed and drive 10 miles home again. I want to be inspired, get good tips, have a bit of a laugh, share recipes anything would be an improvement on hearing the same few people going over how good/bad their week has been.
  • I don't have a group to go to and I would love to have one. I really can't understand why anyone would pay, weigh and leave - it's totally beyond comprehension. OK maybe once in a while someone has another event to go to or something but I would love someone who does leave every week to explain why they do so and what they can possibly be achieving from the group.

    You've got us!!! :D

Not the same I know but I think we have more support, tips and general chat on here than ever at my group. I think the reason people pay and leave is that the SW 'formula' is mind numbingly boring unless you have a consultant with the skills/confidence/personality/preparation to make the Image Therapy part interesting and varied.

I'm doing OK today: HM full English breakfast, snacked on 2 peaches and grapes for lunch. Tonight I'm out for a meal which may be a carvery (friends' choice) so will probably have a few syns later.

You are absolutely correct Maman but I can choose to weigh in or not (generally not!!!) and no-one is any the wiser. Having a group to go to makes one that bit more conscious of what they're doing don't you think? I think I've just answered my own question :rotfl::rotfl:
