Thanks for all the welcomes and breakfast suggestions. Gilly - yes it is my first and the new year should be about 6 weeks after bambino is born. Equally I'm scared that if I don't start then, I'll never start and the 3 stone I gained before baby (plus the current 2 stone which of course some of which is the baby - some is just cake fat
- and 3 months to go oops!) will stay on me and I'll go up and up and it will be so much harder.
I'll cook all my evening meals to slimming world standard to freeze and then do my best with lunches and breakfasts to start with and try my very best to stay away from the Syns before starting properly. Having 2 A's and 2 B's on Extra Easy should be helpful if I BF.
I'm a total sugar monster and really need to wean myself off it!
Helpfully my Mum has been doing SW and lost just over a stone since May so she can be supportive. I need to remember it is a marathon not a sprint, this is the hardest part for me I think. 4-5 stone isn't going to disappear overnight so I need to be sensible and think a 4-5lb loss per month is what I should aim for, anything more is a bonus. I'll probably just be cutting a beautiful figure if we decide to have baby #2
Good luck to you all, I will continue to lurk until I am ready to re-join you in the New Year
They don't recommend you start until 6 weeks post partum, so that'l give you time to get sortedIf I had my time again, or for next time, I will be watching what I'm eating while pregnant. I didn't put on that much maybe a stone and a half but I probably could have lessened that. After is hard work, I cooked and stuck so many things in the freezer while pregnant, if I could remember to take them out to defrost I had no time to heat them and if I didn't remember to take them out I had time to heat them, was a nightmare, I had a particularly horrific newborn though, reflux/intolerances etc, so fingers crossed it's more straight forward for you

Edit: I'm sure at least 2 of your extra HE, they prefer to be A's, but I'm not 100% on that. I struggle to use my A's as it is. xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Have you checked on line for when other groups are on in your area or perhaps near where you work? That's what shift workers at my group tend to do - more often they manage to find somewhere near work that they can attend before an evening shift or after a day shift.

Loving my breakfasts at the moment. On Friday I made a large batch of ratatouille with a Middle Eastern twist and I've been having it on two slices of wm toast with two fried eggs on top - delicious.
I've also had it with wm pasta and with pieces of chicken mixed through - a great way of getting 1/3 SF on the plate.
I've decided this week I'm going to make another batch on Friday and this time I'm going to add a tin of baked beans to it to make it even more SF.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -

Just ring your consultant and explain you are on shifts there is nothing else in the area. They are supposed to allow some leway.0 -

I love milk (particularly at the moment) and cheese so I should be OK with that, will struggle with the B's anyway as I mentioned. I wish I could be better but my appetite is insatiable. Usually I overeat because I'm greedy but at the moment I overeat because I feel starving all the time (which makes me feel sick) Had every intention of being much better than this but feeling well is more important. Absolutely dreading trying to get it off
Thanks for the fritatta advice for breakfast folks. I might make a batch to try and see if I like it before making a few for the freezerHad a huge pasta salad yesterday for lunch and it really filled me up all the way until 7pm - unheard of - that might be a way forward for me for lunches in January too.

Will update properly when i am awake later and my visitors have left and son back at school.
Thinking about a conversation that was had on here a few weeks ago with regards to numbers of those who pay and weigh v those who stay to class i were asked last thursday if i would mind popping on the paying section as a few members were missing due to bereavment. Anyway, this week 28 current members paid, 7 new members joined and only 18 stayed to group this included the newbies. I appreciate this was a lower member level than most weeks due to people having the last week as holiday but i think it gives some perspective into how many do actually stay behind.
It also threw out the consultants theory that if you pay for a countdown then you are more likely to be commited to the plan - 2 ladies renewed their 12 weeks and quickly weighed and fled.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

morning ladies!!!
how is everyone? Anything strange or startling? Plan is going ok, had a bad day on saturday (and had to do damage control on saturday) though the less said about that, the better!
feeling a little queazy this morning so i have a small punnet of strawberries near me to eat when i stop spinning (i think it was how i slept last night) Anywho!..... Ive decided that im determined to be a max of 12st by the beginning of december as it will allow me a few lbs to play around with in NYC and over the christmas fortnight. Ive figured out that as it stands at the minute, by next june the heaviest i can be is 12st 8lb (had another dress fitting for my friends wedding the other night).. so i think if i aim for 12st it means that i wont be under too much stress if i gain a pound or two
anyway, i may go and finalise my plan for this weeks meals. Has anyone tried the beef bourguignon in this months magazine? im tempted to make it tonight (looks gorg!):pI'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -
Hi everyone I have been MIA for a while...what started as a 'pulled hamstring' 10 weeks ago has ended up with me currently being on 16 tablets a day most of them pain killers to stop me screaming my head off morning noon and night!
I've had so many different diagnosis about whats wrong and at one point they decided it was a slipped disc and I went to see a physio was given acupuncture and I thought things were getting better....how wrong was I! My hands and feet would swell up randomly I would get huge rashes which would then turn into bruises (anyone would think I was being beaten up!) So physio said she didn't want to continue my treatment until I had an MRI scan. Had one and came back clear no slipped disc so back to having no diagnosis
Everytime I've been to the dr I get a different one everytime and because the appointments are only 10 mins I spend most of that telling them whats happened already and they give a different diagnosis and I'm sent on my way but this last 2 visits I've seen the same one every time and he has booked me an appointment today for 20 minutes and says he is determined to get to the bottom of what's wrong :j
Hopefully he will sort me out and I can be back with you all soon because in recent weeks the only thing i can keep down is dry toast and I think my body has gone into starvation mode  2 weeks ago I was admitted to hospital with a severe allergic reaction which the doctor says is unrelated to all the problems I've been having but I think I have definitely reached my limit with this now I know nobody likes being ill but the fact that I can't even get in the shower without leaving the door unlocked at the moment and someone else being in the house because I randomly faint has pushed me to the edge!
Hope everyone is doing ok and I can't wait to be back on the weight loss wagon!SLIMMING WORLD 13/5/2012- 6lb loss total weight loss 5 stone 8lb

Morning all,
Pleased to report a 1lb loss last nightFeeling much more motivated this week and meals are planned out so feel in control. Might try and vary my breakfasts a little more though - frittata sounds great. Going to make some soup tonight so may well make a frittata so everything's ready in the morning.

I read that as 'my 2 boyfriends'!! Well I'm assuming that's not what it was intended as - if so though good on you :rotfl:
Stef - agree about the countdown, think a lot of our members who have them just weigh and go. I'd say it makes you more committed to turning up, but there's no financial incentive to stay.
Emma - well done on your STS and positive attitude!
Vicki - poor you, can't believe things could still be getting worse for you. At lease this doctor sounds like he's going to really try and sort it out so fingers crossed and *hugs*
