    Morning all :)

Going to get my hair cut and coloured today for the first time in years, very excited and hope it'll give me some more confidence. I felt like eating rubbish yesterday, so I went to New Look and had a browse at all the clothes I'd love to have the confidence to wear and look good in, kept me on the straight and narrow.

Plan today looks like (green day)

B - weetabix with skimmed milk (b&a) banana
    L - beans on nimble toast (b)
D - quorn peppered steak, fry light roaster and loads of veg.

Other A will be used up with tea and coffee and syns will have some chocolate tonight more than likely curly wurly/freddo or something :)
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

Blodwen i've noticed that new starters rarely come back. Maybe some are old hands at SW & just want the up to date books to do it themselves?

Ahhhh could well be, hadn't thought of that although I know one of the ladies who started the same week as me hadn't done it before. Also, I think in some cases people 'fall off the wagon' straight away and don't want to show their faces again - a girl from work joined a month or so ago then a combination of not being able to make the next class, not quite getting to grips with the plan and then lending her book to someone else in work who wanted to try it meant she hasn't gone back. It's a shame as she seemed really keen at first and frustrating as I know how well it works but although you can lead a horse to water you can't make it drink :(

  • shellyholly,
Wow! :j Had not realised you had lost THAT much!! :A It shows how the pounds drop off over time without really realising. Very well done and I really hope you get your 5 STONE STICKER tonight!
    Go girl!! :D

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!
  • Made the sw rice pudding today.
Not quite sure what to make of it though.
I just about caught the bottom of the pan but managed to save it. Used a dash of milk allowance, false sugar and a WW lemon yogurt (50 cals ) then sliced strawberries on top.
I think next time I will put the vanilla muller light in instead and see if the taste improves.

New starters come back in a few years.. "it didn't work last time but I wasn't in the right mood"

For me Slimming World (like any other lifestyle change) requires you to be honest with yourself. If you lie to yourself you are only cheating yourself. Hence the Food Diaries. It's easy to forget what I have snacked on. Keep a food diary for 2 -3 months and I soon spotted what I was doing wrong and where..then made the changes.
It takes that for the habits to be spotted...then you decide that you want to make a difference.

But is a "you" that makes it work. You that puts the time in. The book doesn't it justs give s you power to do so. Slimming World doesn't measure out your portions, or cook your meals. Wish it would...:D

It's all me (with a little help and support from you guys) that has got me were I am... And slightly big headed thanks to the "school gate mums" comments regarding the new "svelt me" :rotfl:

Those comments make it all worth while doncha think? Well done that woman :A:A:A:A:A:A:T:T:T:T:T:T
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
