Evening ladies. I have made the rice pudding with banana and custard muller lights and it was really nice, keep meaning to try another flavour.
I didn't go to slimming world on Tuesday, I got up late and then was too ashamed to goI had friends round for (a lot of!) drinks on Sunday night, we ordered pizza, then I ordered pizza on Monday to help my hangover :rotfl:. My scales were saying a 5 1/2lb gain
Anyway I have drawn a big fat line under all of that, I'm back on plan, cutting down on my fruit and upping my veg to see if that helps because my weightloss has been a little stop start lately even when I have been very good. Kids are also back to school today so thats 6 miles a day walking the school run.
Right I am now going to catch up on this thread, hope you are all well.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -

(-4lb loss this week so smashed that 1/2lb!)
Gained half a pound! Can't work that out as I did 10 mile bike ride at weekend, 4 mile walk yesterday and have stuck to plan.
Thanks for asking.:)
I am in total awe of you and others who lose these massive amounts of weight. Well done. A 4 lb loss? I never, ever lose large amounts like that. What's your secret?0 -
That is truly AMAZING Shellie, both the 5st and the 4lb loss. FANTASTIC:T:D:D:D
Don't despair penny, sometimes you can have a gain with lots of exercise. It's something to do with muscle but you will be toned and lose eventually.
I've had a reasonable day. Nothing really bad but a bit low on SFs. I'm not going to WI tomorrow as I've got visitors coming and we're going out for a flexi dinner. My thoughts are anything I put on this week will be gone by next Thursday. As I'm right at the bottom of my target range I should be fine.
Today's EE:
B: kippers, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: picked at some chicken and a (very) few grapesspaghetti bolognese (inc plenty of SFs), tsp of HEA Parmesan
Syns:small bar of dark choc (5?)0 -
That's a result Shellie - well done girl and you have every right to be pleased with yourself.
Penny, like you, I never ever get the big losses and that's why I get so fed up with it. If I could just get it into my head that these miserable little 1/2lb losses eventually add up!
This is my first week back on plan and I don't feel as if I've lost a thing - WI for me tomorrow morning!Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Thanks Ch27, Beanie, Gettingthere, MedMum Maman, & Pennylane.
Kjmtidea. Sparkly lines - as one consultant calls it. It's getting back to the plan that makes it work.. not shrugging it away and ignoring it. :T
Beanielou .. not sure on weight.. somewhere between 10 & 11 stone. going on dress sizes & BMI. Hoping to find a comfortable 12-14 place! So another 3 ish stone to go!
Pennylane, How do I do it.. I stick to the plan - and plan my plan. It's funny as we were talking about it at group. When i started I planned my meals to be as syn free as possible, it's kind of stuck. So I can have cheese and biscuits as my syns on a night, or alcohol (none in at the minute!) Hubby started it last week so I have been extra extra careful to ensure there's plenty of syn free on the plate. Lots of new food too, new menu ideas to jig things around.
This week the only chocolate that has passed my lips would be the tiny sprinkles found in a vanila shape delight - BUT I did have plenty of coconut cream pie at 5 syns a slice. No alcohol. I do walk 10 miles a day at the minute as the car is off the road too - back and forth to school But I have only done that 2 times this week.
So in essence my answer is food diaries and sticking to the plan! I haven't had a 4lb loss in a long time, I had consistantly lost between 1 and 1.5 a week. I suspect it's me just getting back to normal after my hols.
Don't despair though, these big drops lead to mega disappointments & massive frustration when it slows down. One of my group friends consistantly loses between 1 and 1.5 each week including * week. She has been coming since may and is very secure in knowing her weight's going without any life altering changes. I am getting to the point now where I am expecting a gain every forth week cause I can "feel" the difference.0 -
Mediterranean_Mum wrote: »Vicki how does vertigo explain all the pain? I'm not saying you don't have vertigo - I'm not a doctor - and it does sound like the symptoms match the diagnosis as a couple of friends had it quite badly, but I don't know about all the extreme pain - never heard of that with it - so maybe there's more going on here.
Keep on at them if you don't feel satisfied with the diagnosis but sending you lots of healing vibes and wishing you over this terrible few months very quickly now.
exactly what i said but doctor said it could all be linked to the pain as it now seems to start in my neck to be honest i'm beginning to think they have no idea and they keep fobbing me off with all different tablets which don't help. Found out yesterday can get pre paid prescription....wish someone told me 10 weeks ago i have spent nearly £200 so far

Vicki, get yourself well that's the first thing - think about dieting aftewards. However, that said, take what you've learnt about food optimizing and the healthy way of eating and just incorporate it. Drink lots and lots of water to keep yourself hydrated, eat fresh fruit and vegetables and if you feel like something fizzy put some SF cordial in a glass and top with soda water.
Try and keep away from foods with additives and eat as naturally as possible until you clear your system of whatever is going on.
Good luck.Mediterranean Mum
