I've had an awful week. All sorts of problems thrown at me.
I've tried to keep on track but don't hold out much hope for WI tomorrow.

    Sorry to hear this.

    Well a good start to the day here - I've been for a 4 mile stomp and did it in 59 mins, I even managed 12 x 1min jogging intervals in that. 732 calories burnt :j;
You have inspired me to venture beyond my wii fit. My first "very quick walk" today. I shall not record the results till I manage to do the whole thing in one run as oppose to lots of little jogs.

How many syns is the Weightwatchers cream? Was wondering if I could make a creamy rice instead.

    One last question.....

Can someone tell me how to make the Coconut cream pie please. :D

Look forward to catching up again in a few weeks time. We are going on a cruise next year and I want to lose 7lb more than I 'should' as I know I'll put it back on again. Has anyone else tried this? I am quite busty but small, if I lose too much I'll look ridiculous so I am not aiming to be the bottom of my BMI level.
I use ELMLEA - Light double or single not WW cream 1 syn for 1 table spoon for creamyness. Will report back on the coconut cream pie when I fix it to taste and hold right. Though first attempt today alright but not "right"

Does anyone on here follow a gluten free and diary free diet and do SW?
    .
One lady at our group is gluten free, she tends to do more green days than anything else. As you tend to cut down on the bread, pasta and rice with Red and Green I would have thought those would be a good option. Other ladies are the best to ask though - I'm extra easy... so to speak.:rotfl:
CH27 life throughs rubbish our way to stop us from getting complacent ( though I don't tend to think that politely when the sh&$ hitting my personal fan. )I hope you are out of that particular tunnel now!

Hubby made a very nice pea and ham stew soup - with tomatoes today in the slow cooker. Electric is fixed. Don't know what was wrong in the first place. "Call again when it breaks and £20 please." Easy money.
Coconut Cream Pie was a slight failure in so far as I accidently put it in the oven instead of the fridge to set it. Try again tomorrow, Syn count should be around 4 syns a slice - is that too much?

    Good morning all.

Think the best purchase i made were the food optimising books. Not only does it take the hassle out of having to plan everything we eat but it means all of us have a say what we would like to have instead of it all being left to me.

    Today is EE.

B, banana, ML yog, Bran flakes (heb) milk (hea)
L prawn pasta salad - 1/2 syn of EL mayo. Son ended up eating this i had LO soup from yesterday making mine a green day, so will have extra HE's.
T roasted veg cous cous, fruit salad.
:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

    DD 1994, DS 1996 AND DS 1997

Lost 3st 5lb with Slimming world so far!!
  • I've got two weddings to go to this afternoon/evening so it's going to be a challenge!

Only going for the meal at one of them and will stick to basic food and lots of diet coke.
    Mediterranean Mum

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j
  • i went COMPLETELY off the rails at the weekend - had a stressful time with my relationship and also my ex hubby p*issed me off - so everything just rollercoastered!!

But.. putting it behind me - forgetting about my 48 hour binge!! and starting a fresh today - treating this week as my first week and planning 100%.

I have texted my SW leader and taking this week as a holiday - due to weigh in tomorrow - so hoping that by next week I will have undid the damage and get back on the road of getting to my target!!!

My salary has stopped now too and am just getting SMP - so think that is stressing me out too... need to get organised and plan a week's menu of good value products!! Off to look up online supermarkets for the best SW friendly bargains!!

Good luck to everyone for this week xx

I have done SW in the past and done well but am now following the above for health reasons, am on Meds which make me want to eat all the time plus depressed too so all I want to do is eat! Have mobility problems so find it hard to exercise but know I must not put any, more weight on, or my health will get worse.

I know someon's already answered - I think red or EE would be doable - (I'm wheat free but not gluten free!)

EE is basically 1/3 meat, 1/3 carbs (in your case spuds/rice) and 1/3 veg.

I've not done Red, but your carbs are limited, but you can eat all the superfree foods. You get 2XA and 2XB choices - but there are plenty of options in the book to have as B's without you getting bored.

As regards the dairy thing I have read the S/W mag regularly and there has been at least 1 advert for a dairy free milk substitute in there where you get more than you would any of the milks - sorry I can't remember it's name!

There's a heap of dairy free alternatives to milk listed in the HEA choices on the website and as cy said with generous daily allowances.

Hope you enjoy yourself at the wedding(s) mm. There seems to have been a lot of publicity recently about diet coke encouraging a craving for sweet stuff. I dont suppose an occasional drink on special occasions would matter but it's something to be aware of. Yet another test of will power!!

    EE plan for today:
B: HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, baked beans
L: something with cold meat (pickles? stir fry?), fruit
D: baked cod, chips, cauliflower cheese
Syns: cheese sauce and maybe some wine as it's a holiday!

I'm off to London for the day tomorrow so may well go flexi. My plan this week was to gain at least 0.5lbs to get back into target range. I think I may be taking it a bit too seriously.:D
  • Hi

After being on SW a few times last year ( losing weight every time but just giving up!), I am now back on, with my daughter this time - we have lost 7lb & 6.5lb respectively in 2 weeks.

What I would like to ask anyone from Northern Ireland on here - can anyone find Asda Chickpea Dahl ( syn free) or the new Tesco Chickpea Dahl (1.5 syn) anywhere in Northern Ireland?? I have been to a few large stores & no luck.....

Why does N.I. always seem to be behind everywhere else......:(

yay, 2lb off for me this week and a new shiny sticker and certificate 3 & 1/2 st :); It's my birthdy on Fri and my Mam's 60th on Sun so that's gonna be a test but I will enjoy both days and aim to be an angel the other 5 days. I'm off to make a big pot of veg soup seeing as the weather is so miserable.
