  • Hubby has the same "reheat" issue. So we removed that from the equation, I bought 2 small thermos slightly larger than a grand coffee mug- there's a spoon in the lid. & lifetime guarunteed. He takes a pot of what ever for lunch ( pastas, rices, fried rice, stews and soups) and a different pot of other stuffs for snacks.
His lunch bill has dropped :)

That's a good idea, but can't take liquids with me either :o It's not a huge issue, I can find things, but when I was on SW before, it was easiest to cook up batches of spag bol and freeze them for work :D

ETA: A lot of debt-free wannabe threads are lovely so don't be nervous about coming over to the DFW boards :) Good luck x

    Morning,

Well done Stef, Diane, Evilsquid, great losses. And great about being voted WoY Karen :D

Yesterday turned into a bit of a mixed up day planwise- was starving when I got in and could not be bothered making lasagne so changed to green (used bacon in soup and ham on sandwich as HEB, although just realised I also had bread then, oops) and had egg, mash and beans with a synned pitta bread - nice simple stodge :) Struggling a little bit this week- have stuck to it but found it hard to reign myself in at times! Looks like tomorrow's outing may be postponed as got sooo much to do on the house, and OH has to go into work for a bit on Sun and Mon :( but I'll try and get him to go for a couple of walks and may walk in to meet him at work then go into town for a bit on one of the days. Am dying to use the Endomondo thing so is a good excuse!

Undecided between green and EE today - erring towards green but will see what I fancy for tea. As I said it's been an odd week, and can't decide what I fancy half the time.

B: Bran flakes (B), milk (A), banana (eaten without disaster today :rotfl:)
L: Lentil and bacon soup (B if do green), pineapple
T: TBC, probably pasta based, with cheese (A) if green
S: Pineapple, shape yogurt, some kind of biscuit (5) - leave it at that to make up for yesterday's bread oversight

If I'm not back again today have a great BH weekend ladies :)

ahh :( i had this all typed and then my computer logged me out of the forum. ahh well.

yesterdays plan went a little wayward as my veggie soup decided it didnt want to be eaten(it took on a life of its own), and subsequently got turfed over the wall into the field. so yesterdays meal plan went like this:

    B: 1/4 large melon chunked
L: Salad bap, fresh fruit salad, mini babybell light and a herbal tea (1/2 syn i think)
D: pasta with l/o pizza chicken sauce (full of SF's) and HEA of grated cheese on top

the mini babybell has to be synned doesnt it?

    Snacks:nectarine, grapes, apple, strawberries & a plum
    ETA: forgot a banana too

Today i had a nectarine on the way to work and i have a fruit salad with me that ill eat quite soon. I also had a cup of herbal tea this morning. although i am by no means near my 2.5 target, hopefully i will see results this weekend :)

ohhh!! aaaaannnd mr T overcharged me :D! granted it was only by 50p, but by their own slogan 'every little helps' so im thinking of phoning them on point of principle. their finest sausages are on offer at the minute (really good quality, HUGE! and a high meat % - 80+).. in their shop its 2 for £5, for their finest range, and online its 3 for £6.00 or 2 for £4.50 and its all the same range! and my receipt says finest on it, so its not like i picked up the wrong ones by mistake (currently in my freezer).. they go a reaaaaaallly long way in casseroles:D.. so point of principle makes me want to phone them, but i dont want to seem petty:o
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

Hello all, I think this thread could become my new best friend in the battle against the bulge. I have been with SW for 10 weeks now anot lost 1st 11 lb. I have 3lb to go until my next award and 7lb until my club 10 but I am struggling.
I am mostly struggling with snacking on naughty things that aren't high in syns but I eat lotss of them. A prime example are pink 'n'whites at 2.5 syns each. Does anyone have any suggestions for avoiding these types of things and pleeeaaasseee don't say mullerlight because if I see another one of those things I am going to throw it at someone.
    Thanks slimmers xxxxx

    welcome!!!:D

i know personally that if i dont plan and prepare ahead, ill go straight to the bikkie cupboard. I tend to have either a fruit bowl sitting reasonably stocked on the countertop, or have fruit already prepared in the fridge. having said that, as the guys and girlie here know, curly wurlys are my vice if i need a sugar kick. a full one is 6 syns, but i either have treatsize ones or if i cant find them cut the normals in half. I stick mine in the fridge or freezer until its hard and break it into shards. (it lasts longer):D

Hi ss3n08. I make a lot of cheats rice pudding and snack on that when I want something sweet...
1/2 mug pudding rice in 1pint cold water; bring to boil and simmer until the water is absorbed. Add 2 mullerlights (yeah I know you're sick of them but this changes them honest) and a wee bit of sweetner to taste if you want. It makes a small casserole dish full - I eat some hot and leave the rest to go cold & stodgy and have a big spoonful when ever I want something sweet.

I have tried banana & custard (delish, esp when hot but also v sweet), strawberry (v nice), vanilla (v nice), choclate orange (v nice), vanilla & choc (v nice), cherry (ok) and rasp & cranberry (yuk!)

    Good luck. x

Stef - it took me 60 weeks to lose 3st 1.5

43,5 pounds divided by 60= 0.725 lbs a week as an average. Of course there were holidays, unfair gains from inflamation in my body, christmas gain, holiday gain, wine night gain, funeral gain etc - but everyones journey is different and to be honest , i would have been delighted to consistently have lost 1-1.5 a week. If i lost 1lb a week, i would have got to my target 17weeks ago .

You're doing brilliantly is the point :D

SS3n - i lovethese yogs - FAT FREE only . As far as i know, the fruit ones are free and the crumbles are 1 syn. Activia fat free are also lovely yogs. Peach are half a syn but the rest are free - these ones (not the greek or crumbles or breakfast ones)

I always carry bags of fruit with me on the go, so a yog and spoon in handbag, a banana. In work i have loads of little tubs of fruit. I always save my syns for night time so i can sit and enjoy them. Biscuits in work wouldnt interest me at all . You can get various diet chocolate drinks - cadburys highlights sachets are 2 syns .
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I haven't had a muller light in two months. As zippychick pointed out The shape delights are devine. Especially the crumble versions. Even the hubby (hates yoghurt) and kids will scoff these. Tescos have them on special at the minute.
Make a large breakfast quiche (flan dish, mix quark or ff cottage cheese with 3 or 4 eggs, ham, any other veg you might fancy and cook for about 25 to 35 minutes) excellent syn free snacking when on Extra Easy.
Or make mini ones in bun cases! Cheese and onion ones are good too, use Kerry low low as your HE or quark to syn free it. - No pastry though!
SW ROCKY ROADS! 3 syns per bar or 2 bars as a healthy extra... need to plan the latter but they are yummy.

Camomile tea day for me, no milk day- the low low is going on crackers (syned) with grapes and apples later!
