    Don't be scared, just turn up tonight and they'll be happy to have you. You don't need a voucher. The joining fee is a one-off and will give you all your books and the introductory talk then it's a case of the weekly fee on top. You just pay on the night. Good Luck!

    Thanks for the recipe mm (and the tahini advice). I love those mediterranean style salads, they're popular in Greece and Turkey too. Do you syn your oil or use it as a HEX? Good luck with your test tomorrow, less than 24hours left now.:)

    Great losses being posted:T and I'm delighted to add my own 2.5lbs from WI this morning. I'm pleased as I've had a couple of off-plan meals this week. That puts me back at the low end of my target range. I'm going to do my meal plan later as I know I might be a bit off plan over the weekend so need to have lots of 'good' days around it.

    Today's EE plan:

    B: HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk, grapes
    L: probably stir fried veg with a few rice noodles
    D: chicken casserole with loads of SFs in!
    Syns: tbsp cornflour in casserole

    If I'm going to eat the whole salad :D then yes I HEX the oil but more often than not that quantity is for a load of us so it's difficult to know exactly how much is being eaten by me and I tend to just add a few syns in.

    Hello, can I join the thread please? Just joined Slimming World online today after a massive weight gain over the past year.....still can't believe I have done this to myself after a 3 stone weight gain but I'm determined to sort myself out. Following the plan that they give you for the 1st week to make it easy......seems like you get so much to eat! But I'm determined to stick to it and make the change :D
  • I'm now into the final 24 hours before my appointment tomorrow and have been basically fasting since midnight last night. I've had a total of 20 calories today - 2 cups of 10 cal chicken soups!

    Drinking tons of water - I have to drink a cup every hour - and taking the medication as prescribed.

    I have to continue like this until 8am tomorrow morning then it's total fast for the last two hours - I'm hoping for a big loss this week!!!!!!

    Roll on 10am tomorrow morning!

    Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    Weigh in tonight for DS and i so got that to look forward to.

    Todays meals are like this:

    B. banana and yogurt
    L. 4 ryvita (heb), tiny spread of philly with chilli (1/2 hea), ham and an apple
    T. oven baked fish, SW chips and peas. frozen blackforest berries and squirty cream (1/2 syn)

    Just put a weetabix cake in the oven will share that with DH and DS over the next few days.

    Looking at your menu I don't see very many SF and you're meant to be having 1/3 at each meal unless this is a red day. Peas are not SF so the only SFs you have are the berries and an apple.

    You are allowed to have so much more food than this so don't starve yourself - that's not what this program is about.

    Far from starving myself MM i have no appetite and when i am eating a meal getting full from a small portion. I think i am still finding it difficult going from one meal a day and bumping it up to 3 with snacks to make sure the syns are used.

    I also find it difficult to add in snacks sometimes - I just don't want them. However what I'm saying Stef is that in the meals you do have, make sure that some of the food is SF. For instance at breakfast, have berries instead of a banana with your yoghurt or add some with the banana.

    At lunch with the ryvita and Phili add some sliced tomatoes - much healthier than the ham anyway, and at supper choose another vegetable other than the peas - one that's SF. You'll be eating exactly the same quantity as you are now but you'll just be doing yourself more good from an SF point of view.
