That menu looks great mm, you're certainly doing your guests proud. It would be relatively easy to make good SW choices from that lot. I know it's not from choice but what you're doing now is like a detox/colonic irrigation to set you up for getting back on plan. Sort of out with the old on with the new IYSWIM.;)
Can I ask how you use techina? I was looking at some in my local worldfoods shop and it seemed very high cal and so high syn?
My EE plan for today:
B: baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: not sure but some veg/fruit to balance breakfastbeef stir-fry with rice or noodles
Syns: agreed to meet a friend for a drink so midweek wine:o0 -
That's exactly how I'm looking at it Maman and why as soon as I'm back on Friday and up to eating I'll be back on plan (hopefully!!!).
Raw techina as you buy it is indeed high in fat and syns but I water it down and make like a thin pouring sauce/dressing with it. Unfortunately I can't give you quantities as I kind of do it by what feels right as I've been making it for so long.
I pour about 1/4c into a pour and add the juice of 1/2 a lemon - you can add more if you want it more lemony. You can also add the grated rind if you want. Then I season it well with freshly ground sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, a crushed clove of garlic, 1/2 tsp paprika and about 1/2 tsp ground cumin. Then you start adding water and stirring. It'll go lumpy and gooey at first but keep stirring and keep slowly adding the water until you have a thin lump-free sauce. If you want it thicker then stop adding the water sooner as soon as you've got the consistency you want.Mediterranean Mum

Well I was reasonably happy with a 2.5lb gain for a 2 week holiday!
But I was DELIGHTED and stunned to be voted our Woman of the Year! I nearly burst into tears.
I am completely shattered today - i do hope I'm not sickening for the tonsilitis that DD2 has had...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Well done CY that's brilliant - I love it that so many of the women on here are being voted Woman of the Year.
My throat is also "scratchy" today and I was thinking I might be coming down with something too.Mediterranean Mum
