Well girls (and guys) I am bouncing off the ceiling....

4.5lb off for me this week :D, then I won the raffle (big box of veg), then I was awarded slimmer of the week (big bag of fruit, fridge magnet & certificate), .... then I was told that I had been voted our group's Woman of the Year :j- I was given a sash, a certificate and a bunch of flowers and I nearly cried.

I am so shocked but delighted and a wee bit embarassed that I cleared the board and won the lot this week. :o

AMAZING!:j Now you know how the Olympic athletes must feel!!

We're having our Woman of the Year next week too as consultant is away on training this week. I've voted for a lovely older lady. When she came she was walking with a stick and needed help to put her shoes and socks on. It took her an age to understand the plan and start losing. Now she's 2.5 stone lighter, on a mission to lose more, walking stick abandoned, lots of new clothes and looking great.

Hopefully visitors have gone now mm, 2 weeks is a bit of a marathon for guests howevere nice they are, poor you. Well done for thinking ahead to the weekend and your meal plan. Your horrid fast and procedure will be all over by then. Do come on here and rant if you want to in the meantime, you deserve it managing to stick to that.

:TBlod on your award. It's great to see that next figure down. Little interim targets are great motivators.

gfb, now you've got your baseline you're off on the journey! Good Luck!

DH and I had a lovely day out yesterday which involved a light lunch and dinner. Very little SW friendly:o but I did enjoy it. Back on (EE) plan today:

B:HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA mik, strawberries
L: probably stir fried veg with rice noodles
D: smoked haddock, new potatoes, cauliflower cheese
    Syns: cheese sauce

We're having a party for WoY too. Although mine is a morning class so they never really come off, wrong time of day for nibbles. Also while I do cook I'm more of a meal person than snacks and puds so I'm always stuck for something to take. My biggest worry (with so much off plan socialising going on) is staying within target range. I'm supposed to be having a certificate for staying at target for a year and it would be sooo embarassing if I'd gone out of range.

  • If anyone's feel deprived - this is what I have to look forward to over the next 3 days -

72 hours before – drink freely water, clear soup, tea, apple cider (not fizzy)

Tuesday am: regular white bread, egg, margarine and honey
Tuesday lunch: Clear soup with noodles, chicken or turkey, fish, ptitim (regular white bread optional)
Tuesday eve: regular white bread, sardines or tuna, egg (salt, black pepper, oil)
    One Laxadine after supper

    48 hours before -

Wednesday am: regular white bread, egg, margarine and honey
Wednesday lunch: Clear soup with noodles, chicken or turkey, fish, ptitim (regular white bread optional)
Wednesday eve: regular white bread, sardines or tuna, egg (salt, black pepper, oil)
Two x 5mg Laxadine after supper

    24 hours before -

    Thursday -

A cup of clear liquid every hour (no milk, fruit or vegetables)
Clear soup, regular tea, water (clear soup is chicken soup or soup powder with water)

10am – one packet of Ficuslax with 150 cc cold water – stir 2-3 mins – drink in one go. Continue drinking only clear fluids for 24 hours after, before test.

4pm – as above and take 2 Laxadine then continue with 2 litres of clear fluids for the next 2-3 hours.

Two hours before test (8am) total fast

Well apart from it not being according to SW rules I'm feeling quite virtuous!- and lighter :rotfl:

Maybe I should do this one or two days every week :D Haven't had any of the medication yet - still got that to look forward to
