Hi folks - I'm back from the Olympics!
We had a fab time, although at times 5 people in a 1 bedroom flat was very hard work. I've eaten out, enjoyed myself but I've been sensible too. The scales at home (not partic reliable) seem to indicate a small gain over the last 2 weeks so it's back on plan before WI on Tuesday....
Am hoping that a return to Yorkshire water will ensure some greater regularity.... IYSWIM....;););):jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Morning all,
Hi MedMum, good to see you back  Don't feel like a fraud - we're all here because we struggle with our weight and all have times when we are fed up and frustrated with it! Sorry to hear about your feet, sounds horrendous. I agree with Getting There about taking some photos and making a formal complaint. Hope you enjoy the wedding anyway.
Well done Stef, Huskypup, Watchit, Diane on your losses. Husykpup- see, sneaky peeking does you no good! *takes off hypocrite's hat*
CY - What did you go and see? Jealous - it all looks fab on the tv
Walked into work this morning as OH is off gallivanting for the day and the weather is lovely again. Oddly, however fast or slow I walk it always seems to take the same time (1hr 10 mins) but today i consciously tried to speed it up and managed to do it in 1hrWas a lot less tiring than I thought to up the pace but thinking about it it would have been a lot worse carrying another 40lb with me!
Anyone got nice plans for the weekend? We're popping over to visit my parents for the day tomorrow, with the added advantage being they live by the sea so a day on the beach is in order before the weather changes. Can't wait - LOVE swimming in the sea but haven't since honeymoon nearly a year agoOH will likely be very hungover so I'm driving but a dip in some freezing salt water should sort him out :rotfl:
EE today:
B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana
L: Pasta, pesto (2), roast veg, nectarine
T: Not sure yet - on my own for tea so either pasta or maybe some kind of omelette/frittata
S: Caramel Rocky (5.5), Mini milk (1.5)2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]
2012: [STRIKE]Start renovating new house (aka open enormous can of worms)[/STRIKE] _pale_
2013: [STRIKE]Lose weight[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]get fit[/STRIKE] and FINISH THE HOUSE!

Morning all
CY - welcome back. V jealous ref the Olympics - I have really enjoyed it on TV but it must be amazing in real life.
TIE - well done on avoiding the chippy etc on your day out.... there's nothing like picking up dog poo to put you off food is there?!
Oh how I wish my WI was a Fri morning, I've been an angel all week... just the dreaded weekend to get through without submitting to temptation. I WILL keep away from the wine rack!!Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Wasn't able to get to SW this week but weighed in same time at home. I checked my scales to SW and they are the same so I'm confident about that.
I had stayed the same as last week which I was just a tad disappointed about because I had several long bike rides and a couple of good walks during that time. But hey, it's not a gain so maybe next week I'll lose a pound or 2.0 -
Happy Friday everyone! It was a late night last night and my head was thumping - why do they have to play the music at these dos so damned loud??? (showing my age here!).
I didn't eat anything at the reception - none of it looked worth it and stuck to diet coke. At the meal I had a meat and filo thing to start but left most of the filo and then chicken steak for main with some rice and salad but actually left most of it as it was so late - the main course wasn't served until 11pm! Dessert was definitely not worth the syns so didn't have that either.
Today I haven't really felt much like eating anything. I have my SIL and her family all coming for dinner tonight and then again for lunch tomorrow but have kept the cooking fairly light and will fill in with some salads too.
Did a big shop today so hopefully I can get myself focused for next week and will try and write up a plan tomorrow evening.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
I so agree about thumping music medmum. I don't see the point of going to a wedding, inviting all your family and friends and then not being able to hear any conversation! I enjoy the music when I'm dancing (which obviously you couldn't:() but there does need to be a choice of where to sit. Let us know when you've made your plans for your visitors, I love reading your menus, full of ideas.
Glad you enjoyed the Olympics cy, and you must be delighted that Yorkshire are doing so well in the medal tables:D let's hope normal service is resumed ASAP.
Thanks for the link to memberzone zippy. To be honest, I rarely look at anything on the website except for the syns calculators. I need to investigate. Is it just my computer or does anyone else have a problem with the website? Almost every time I go to type in my password, it insists on going in the box for Userid then I have to delete it and carefully start again. It really irritates me.
I had a quick look at the menu for the pizza place MrsM and i can't see anything there that's particularly SW friendly. If you want to have a good time with your DH, I'd go flexi and then go back on plan 110% next day. You could ask them to make you up a salad with a plain burger but how miserable is that?
I've been to the seaside today Blodwen, so hope you have a good time too. We went to Hayling Island and it was great, quite old fashioned seaside resort. I'd never been there before. Usually, we'd head west to Dorset from here but decided to keep away from roads to Weymouth area (Olympic sailing). We had a leisurely walk, lunch on a balcony people watching (swimmers, canoeists, sailors, windsurfers etc) and another walk in the sunshine. Good luck with the sea swimming (and to DH when he finds out).
Day out has added a few syns but not too bad. EE menu:
B: HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for tea
L: JP with prawns and Marie Rose, salad garnish with balsamicspaghetti bolognese with a sprinkle of parmesan as i have't had much milk today
Syns: weekend wine:jMarie Rose sauce
Loads of veg in my bolognese too (mushrooms, tomatoes, cougette, pepper, carrots, onions) but otherwise a bit low on SF. I might have melon later if I'm hungry enough.0 -
Good morning everyone! Had a busy day yesterday taking apart DD's old cabin bed and taking them to the tip before making up her new grown up double bed and sorting out her room. All that screwdriving must have helped my bingo wings - they were aching by the end of it anyway!
Then I started on the garage ; 8 years worth of junk and empty cardboard boxesthat have been too big to fit into the bin. I've borrowed a pickup from my Dad for the weekend so hopefully will get the garage emptied away to the tip - should be a bit of body magic running up and down the ramps at the tip putting the cardboard / wood / metal etc into into the relevant trailers.... and if my hands are dirty then I wont eat which is a double bonus!
Have a fab weekend everyone. xxMortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Getting really frustrated at the moment, after my 1lb gain last week I have gained another 1lb so far this week going by my scales, I can't see a loss by Tuesdays weigh in
I don't understand it, other than a birthday tea I have been sticking to it completely, surely upping my exercise shouldn't have this kind of effect? I have been drinking more too to see if that would help but obviously not!Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
Hi everyone,
Good to hear everyone's news and thanks for the tips/advice re. my questions on success express.
Lost 1.5 this week - so still slow but at least moving. Total of 4.5 in 4 weeks.
kandfs mam, that rice pudding recipe looks fab!!! I will so have a go at that soon - vanilla I think - and maybe add in some cinammon, mmm.
Just had melon and blackberries for breakfast with cinammon. (Bit of a theme here).
Plan herb and tomato omlette for lunch with salad.
Shepherds pie for dinner.
Hx's milk and a couple of rocky roads for a choc fix.
Also going to try to make ice cream - hear if you mix muller light with fromage frais (1 muller to half a large tub of ff) and sweetener that works well. Will let you know!
Good luck all,
:-)0
