Well I'm back fom the lovely heat and sunshine at the Royal Welsh to the bl00dy rain and cold weather at home - it was like something off a comedy strip, the cloud started building right through Cumbria and as soon as I crossed the border at Gretna the heavens opened. It was 270C and sunny when I left wales and 16oC and raining when I got home 6 hours later
Anyhoo, back on topic.... I've managed to stick to plan pretty well when I have been away from home so I'm pleased with myself. I haven't had many syns as we're out on Sat night so I want to save them for the booze I'll have then!
Hope everyone's well, and I look forward to catching up on all your news! xMortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Haven't been on here for a few weeks. DH has new job away from home and only back at weekends. Have found it really hard coping with 3 kids, work and running a home let alone thinking about losing weight. By the time I've got the kids settled and I've tidied up, I've been far too tired and have been comfort eating to excess  No surprise that I'd gained 1.5 pounds on tuesday.
Have given myself a stern talking to and the plan of action is- stay at my meetings
- eat my meals with the kids
- get out of the house with the kids

To give a little perspective to my family's weight loss I'll give more details. My son and I started our diets on 19th January 2012 and my wife started a week later as she is a shift worker (nurse) and can't always make it to class.
My starting weight was (wait for it) 27 stone 7 pounds - now 19 stone 11 pounds, my wife's was 13 stone 12 pounds - now 11 stone exactly and my 18 yr old son was 14 stone and 5 pounds - now 12 stone exactly. Both my wife and son hit target weight yesterday for the first time.
We all go to Slimming World at North Baddesley near Southampton on Thursday evenings at 5.30pm. My (very generous) target weight is to be just morbidly obese at 17 stone 7 pounds, which would be a 10 stone weight loss for me. My wife and son are staying with me on our eating regime and will set new lower targets 1 stone lower as soon as they can get out their current target weights. As for me, I would like to aim for close to 14 stone for my final weight. My short-term aim is to lose 10 stone by our holiday on 9th December 2012.
Enough for now or I'll bore everyone to tears! It's BARGAIN, BARGAIN, got it? Bargin my ****.0 -

That is AWESOME! You must be like an entirely new family.:)
Do you all get much exercise?0 -
Congratulations watchitm80 to you and all the family!!:T I'm a target member at a neighbouring group, must be something in the Hampshire air!;) I think one of the great things about SW is that I can cook to the plan for all the family. That's usually just me and DH but visitors are treated to it too. There's no sitting on your own nibbling a lettuce leaf while everyone else tucks in!:D
Well done caroline on your 3.5lbs. I always think that once you get back on track after holidays or whatever anything that went on quickly comes off quickly too.
I had another flexi day yesterday as was out with a friend. Strictly speaking was only lunch as breakfast and dinner were fine. Any ideas why so few places (any?) do wholemeal sandwiches? White bread seems so prevalent and if there's anything vaguely healthy looking it tends to be malted or granary. This week I've ended up with white sandwiches twice, and that's at NT and Waitrose. Do you think it's cutting costs?
Today's plan:
B: baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: something SF as was low yesterday, maybe I'll just pick at apples and tomatoes.will concoct something from lamb steaks, potatoes, carrots and cabbage whatever it is will be over in time to watch the opening ceremony!!
Syns: weekend wine!:j
I'm sure it's obvious that provisions are a bit low and I'm not planning on a shop until tomorrow
Anyone know where mm has been the last few days? I always worry when people go awol.:wave:if you're lurking.0
