It's do able, cos off to Florida is 6 weeks time and I would like to reach target before I go. ;)

Well done to everyone on their losses and STS and for the strugglers, keep on in there, believe in yourself and you will get there :)

    Good evening

So.......still really worried about tomorrow 1st WI and even more so since talking to someone earlier about SW. She told me I should be really limiting my potato intake, she said she basically eats no potatoes in her diet :( For the last week I've eaten more potato than I have all year. Not a massive amount but more than I usually would, I'm a rice or pasta person usually. Not had pasta since I started SW last week but had rice a few times.

Please someone.reassure me, tell me it's ok to eat potato......as far as I can see it's a free food and you should be able to eat as much as you like?

Take no notice, I for one can vouch for the good ol' spud, I eat them till they come out of my ears :rotfl:
The more spuds the better for me, baked,
mashed, boiled, sw chipped anything, coming from a large irish family we were brought up on them and are the staple of my diet, 5stone 4 and a half pounds worth, so chomp away to your hearts content, in the full knowledge that your safe :D
Good luck for your WI x

Total loss = 5 stone 12.5 lbs. / But now GAINED 1 STONE 1.5 LBS!!

    46 weeks!

You can eat as much as you like of anything as long as at least one-third of your plate (or daily intake) is super free fruit and vegetables, or more than one third if you can manage it. See how your first weigh in goes; if you haven't lost anything ask your consultant's advice and tell her you've been going mad with the potatoes! see wht she advises. If you've lost a few pounds, well no need to fret! good luck.
PS you don't have to give up pasta and rice with SW, as long as you stick to the "at least one third superfree" rule
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Thanks guys........I thought she was talking nonsense, but she has lost a lot of weight which had me doubting myself.

I've made the SW chips, had mash once made with a dollop of fromage frais and an egg yolk and I've had a couple of jackets since last Thursday, when I told her she looked horrified!! :(

For those of you who aren't sure how to multi quote, just click on the orange and purple button which is right next to the quote button, click the orange and purple button for each quote you want to reply to and when you come to the end click on the quote button you are used to using and it should work fine for you. :)

I don't think thats too much potato [not enough for me :p], I have spuds every day in some form or other. Had 2 JPs for tea today, yesterday had loads of new pots with my salad, chips day before and so on and so forth :D. My all time fav comfort food is cheesy mash.
I have got to target doing mostly green i.e. pasta, spuds, rice etc I LOVE my carbs :rotfl:
So don't worry just eat :T
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Blackberry-rum.. I don’t really make two different pies. I make the base –eg mince onions peppers peas altogether but I put them into two individual dishes (like pub ones) and add celery tomato green beans to mine. At beginning of the week I cook a load of different veg and pop them into or on everything. I have some potatoes too but try not to have too many. Def an Irish thing – potatoes, scone bread, sodas etc. – my downfall!! (oh wine and gin too:o)
As well OH does not like carrots, green beans, mushy peas, tomatoes, celery etc etc. I love them so all my life I have cooked extra veg for myself and children. (the children are now 30+)

Was out tonight at a small family gathering and a few naughties popped into my mouth! But afterwards they left me with a bad taste -- think not used to pastry covered finger food. Only had 3 so allowing 4 syns each – not worth it -- that’s3 gin which would be worth it.
