Yesterday was a bit flexi as went out for a pub lunch but shiny new day today!!

    My EE plan:
B: bacon, egg, mushrooms, fried potatoes, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: I may have ham and stir fried veg as I've been really enjoying that lately but have a big melon the size of a football that needs eating up soon too so plenty to choose from!
D: baked fish, cauliflower cheese, chips
    Syns: cheese sauce, wine

Flat Eric, did you end up going out?

I'm having a weird day. Because of my tooth/jaw pain i can't eat anything i have to bite . I tried to make hash browns today, but grated the potatoes when warm and have ended up with gloopy mush:o I'm not thinking very straight at the moment. Tonights dinner was to be burger and chips - i can't eat chips. Was going to make it a green day to have two HEBs (cereal bar tonight) so may have mash, beans and cheese. :(

So far ive had strawberries, loads of melon, and a few cups of tea. Need to get something substantial in me. May see if some of this potato is salvagable.

I made lentil soup last night from the soup book - page 90. It was a bit bland to be honest so i've added some chilli and bits and pieces to it.

I will stick to plan no matter what:mad:. Tonights syns will be a big bag of smoky bacon tayto, and a bar of cadburys caramel. I can't drink at the moment so i may as well spend my syns some exciting way.:j

Hugs to those in need xxx

Hi everyone. I'm back from my fabulous all inclusive holiday with a yucky ring of blubber round my middle! I have to admit that I have eaten like a pig and drunk like a lush for the duration of my hols but I'm back home and ready to get back into the SW mode again.
So far I have managed to stick to plan today :)

Thanks for posting stef. I'd say that unless you used masses of beans then your cassoulet looks fine for EE. Today's menu looks fine too. You are having your syns aren't you?

Yes im using syns, see what meals contain first before deciding what to have later on in the evening. I dont drink alcohol and so am just having a milky way here and there i think im averaging 6/7syns per day. The cassoulet recipe was of the SW website and says free for EE if not using the wine.

hi stef and welcome to our thread....

I am a veteran of EE - I've been doing it for 2 years and have lost 5.5 stones....(although the last half stone is proving troublesome...)

In our group ( but not in everyones) we have been told that if you have something like your butternut squash rissotto (also chilli, curry, etc) despite the fact that there are SFs in the recipe you should still have a serving of S/Fs covering 1/3rd of your plate.

We have plenty of people on this board (and in my group) who are doing the old plans - red and green. If you don't eat much meat it might be poss to syn your meat on a green day. On these days you don't have to have 1/3rd superfree and you do get to have 2XA + 2XB choices...

Any more questions ask away - we are a friendly bunch.....

And one last question - how much do both of you want to lose?

Thank you CY. I dont have a set amount i wish to lose, as previously mentioned i only signed up as my son was the one who wanted to lose weight and needed an over 18 to go with him so im happy to see it ebb away. My son on the other hand initially set himself a shy target of 1 stone to see if he could acheive it on his own and was quite shocked when the first 2 weeks prior to sign up saw him lose almost 3/4 of a stone. He does have quite a bit he could shift but on the same hand i dont want to push him too much i want this to come from him.

He has always been a large lad from birth was massively heavier than my other two and as soon as he was offered his first bottle it felt like he always had one in his mouth. As he got older he got into the comfort eating rut when he was bullied at school or had a bad day. So this is a big step for him to commit to i am meerly his cook and support.

I havent looked into the red and green days yet. More because the consultant was so 'its just EE here'. We have changed WI days from saturday morning to thursday nights which is where i think the slight gain came from this week. But this was only done as DS has now gotten a saturday job so timings clashed.

I think that he gets disappointed with the slower loses than the others in group when the individuals loses and gains are read out. More so one lady in the new evening group who has lost almost 2 stone in 5 weeks! But have given him an incentive of matching his weight loss £ for lb and putting it in a savings jar for the day he says he is where he wants to be so he can spend it on what he wants which wont be food orientated.

    Welcome to the thread Stef.
There's nothing wrong with slow, steady weight loss. Your son is doing very well.

Are all your drinks syn free?
