  • Hi to everyone (including newbies)

Well, 2nd weigh in last night and I lost 2lbs which I was happy with, was a bit gutted I didnt get that extra 0.5 to get my half stone award.

Shred dvd arrived last weekend but Ive really struggled to find time to do anything this week as ive been so busy. Got a busy wekend coming up so will really make an effort from Monday onwards to start it!

just wondered if antbody could help- I'm due to meet a friend tomorrow for lunch and really dont know what to have. It's pub grub and as im still new to SW im a bit worried/nervous about eating out!

Would anyone be able to help me with the best meal on the link above (only food i dont like is spicy food)

    Thank so much in advance!!

Just coming on to say what I've had today following my pound gain last night.

Breakfast: Oat Bran (HEB) Skimmed Milk (HEA) Banana and grapes.

    Snack: 4 x crabsticks

Lunch: Homemade SW Leek & Potato Soup
    Muller Yogurt (1 syn)

Dinner: Extra lean minced beef, cabbage and baby roast potatoes. Actually I might do stuffed cabbage leaves. Dessert will be fresh raspberries and low fat fromage frais (synned) and a meringue nest (3 syns).

I am grumpy today.:( I don't turn to bad stuff because this is not going to beat me but I do get grumpy!;)

    Welcome to all the newbies.....

    Well Jillian proved interesting.....

I can't do the cardio bit - even on level 1 - I can't jump - it hurts my knees. I will have to substitute something else. I knew i was in trouble in the warm up - the knee circles produced a lot of clicking:eek::eek:.

but today I am suitably stiff - which has to be good...

At least you tried it, poor you, the cardio bit is the bit I hate the most, am on level 2 just now & after using my own 'weights' (2 x tins of chopped tomatoes :rotfl:) I bought the real thing, so much harder, now I really hate Jillian

    Hello I'm new :)

I'm getting married next year and my wedding dress is too tight

I've followed slimming world before but since then I've never stuck to it but this time I'm determined to. I can't really afford the group at the moment as I'm a childminder and have no little ones on my books till after the summer.

I can't blame the baby weight anymore as baby1 is starting reception and baby2 is 20 months old lol!

I have real issues with food outside the house, at home I cook from scratch all the time but step outside and I'm junk food mad. I can't walk past a take away or food advert. If I was to sit down in a pub I'd probably order the most calorific thing on the menu to "make the most of it" even if it's not actually the thing I fancy the most.

I'm hoping slimming world and lack of money will push me in the right direction and kick my junk habbit.

    So day one today,
B- Beans on toast (HEB) Coffee (HEA) Banana
    D- Homemade butternut squash soup
T- Homemade beef fried rice with spring onion, peas. Mango.

Lots and lots of water, I feel so thirsty this morning after last nights fish and chip binge. (which I couldn't afford)

    Have a nice day everyone

    WELCOME !!!! :beer::beer::beer:

I've had a look at the menu. Here are my views:

    Starters
Avoid if you can. Best options probably the tomato soup (ask for no bread - if they don't bring it - you can't be tempted just to have a little bit)

Or possibly the Reggae Reggae chicken wings sharer (don't bother with the extra sauce)

Or the buffalo chicken wings - again leave the sauce.

    Mains
I suggest the quorn chilli - leave the nachos and sour cream
    Steak
    Quorn fillets
    Big steak and chicken combo
Jacket potato and beans (ask for no cheese or HEA the cheese plus some syns). Ask for an extra side salad for added superfree.

see if you can have a jacket spud option instead of chips plus order a side salad? (leave the dressing).

    Pudding
Plain ice cream and chocolate sauce

Don't think I have ever seen such a huge menu!

would anyone object if I set up a Slimming World Meal planning thread ? Meal planning is the key for me to succeed at SW and I must get back on the wagon before I find myself yet another stone heavier and even more disheartened.

I can never keep up with the weekly meal planning threads and since people only post for a week before a new thread is started then all the useful other posts just get lost. :(

I thought it might be a useful source to run alongside this fab thread for us to all to share menus and plan meals but I just wanted to check with you all first.

Quick post just to update. Came back from holiday last Saturday and tonight was first weigh in. I had missed two weeks meetings due to holiday so wasn't expecting much, but managed to lose 0.5lb. Not a lot I know but I am pleased as although I didn't really overeat on holiday I had ate a lot of bready food and drank loads of fruit juices.

Now have loads of good food choices in and am looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow...

Off now to catch up on everyone's losses...xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)
