Thanks everyone so do you follow the green, red or extra easy all day?

Some years ago I did SW when it was red/green but I mostly did red.

I am now very happy doing EE - it is so straightforward and everyone says "trust in the plan and it will work" and it really does. I have lost 10.5 lbs in 7 weeks (WI tomorrow so hopefully a bit more) and never felt hungry once.

There's a lady at our group who has lost 8 stones in about 18 months. She is amazing and she has done it on EE. I see you want to lose about 6 stones so this might spur you on.:)

:wave:Welcome newbies. This is a lovely thread with great, helpful people. You've certainly come to the right place.:)

I've only ever done EE and it suits me just fine. Some people prefer red or green because they've done it before, some veggies seem to prefer green and others like red/green because it allows them to have extra HEXs. You can mix and match but you must choose a whole day at a time. So you can't have a green breakfast with potentially all four HEXs and then decide to go EE for the rest of the day.

I've done better than I thought today. DH and I decided to have a day out (first dry, sunny, warm day here for weeks and weeks:D) and I was prepared to go flexi at lunchtime if necessary. In the end I think I may have had a green day by accident!

    Today's menu:
B: 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk in teas
L: tuna jacket with salad garnish
D: plateful of bubble & squeak (at least 60%SF)
Syns: mayo in tuna, 175ml glass of wine with lunch

My jeans feel quite loose tonight so I think I should have maintained (am exactly at target) or maybe even lost a bit by WI on Thursday.

Hi, I made some lovely couscous bites a couple of weeks ago but can't find the recipe now. I think I had the recipe from here - can anyone help? x
  • Good morning everyone and welcome to all the newbies.

I'm feeling a little out of control this morning - haven't gone off the rails yet but feel that I could easily do so. I've had breakfast but feel like I want to graze...

b - 2 slices WM bread, 2 fried eggs, scraping of techina, melon (HEB) (2)
    l - tuna salad (4)
d - pan-fried salmon, roasted veg, SW chips

snacks - hopefully just fruit and FF vanilla yoghurt and need to put my HEA in somewhere

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j

    Hi All

Well 1lb loss for me this week, I will take that as its TOTM & I usually STS so happy at that. It takes me over the 1 stone mark. :T:j I made wee herby cubed potatoes in the actifry last night, just to see what they were like – they were absolutely gorgeous, only done it with one potato just to try, wish I had tried more, I used frylight then sprinkled on some rosemary & savoury herbs, will defo do them again. I have to do the shred at night instead of the morning the next few days as the water in my house is being switched off from 7pm until 7am tonight & tomorrow night, I leave for work at 7.20 so need to shower the night before!

    Today’s EE Plan

B – Half Melon filled with Berries with FF Nat yoghurt
L – WM Pitta (b) with chicken & salad, apple, pineapple
D – Spicy beef, beans & rice with broccoli & cauliflower cheese (HEA)
S – Toffee muller with banana

Drinks – Green Tea All Day

    Morning,

Welcome to all the new folk  Diane - I still have abuot 5-6 stone to lose after already losing nearly 2.5, so you're not alone. Could you try and plan out a week's menu in advance? I think planning is a huge part of this diet, especially when doing EE as the 1/3 superfree tends to require more prep than some of the things you might have on red and green.

Well done Macpep :D CY- good to see the gain has spurred you on to tackle Jillian - good luck!

Re. red/green/EE days - I tend to do a mixture of mainly EE and green with the odd red thrown in. As I mentioned above, I need to be a bit more organised with EE, i.e. need to prepare salad etc in the morning and I like the extra HEs on green, but depending on the planned meal one can work out better than the other. I was suspicious of EE when I started but love it now :)

Busy night last night- went to dentist for check up but he said I needed a filling replacing. Was about to make app to go back but then the next patient cancelled so he did it there and then. I was already short on time to get over to pub, eat and get to theatre but was done in 10 mins, and was nowhere near as bad as I remembered *phew*. Ate tea (JP with 5 bean chilli) with half numb mouth but managed not to drool (!), and managed to get to theatre in time. Got home quite late but couldn't resist watching some more of The Killing- tired today! (RFD - just got half of the last episode left to watch, so know who did it but haven't had the whole story unveiled yet!)

Quiet night in tonight - cooking, tidying and more Killing! :D Green today:
    B: Bran flakes (B), milk (A), banana
L: Low fat Super Noodles, salad, dressing (0.5)
    T: Spaghetti and meatballs (1), cheese (A)
    S: Cereal bar (B), Curly Wurly (6)
