Well Ive only got myself and my DS who is 19 & I reckon on avarage I spend an avarage of £45.But I am on a tight budget and as much as possible look for things that are on offer.
I am always looking to reduce my shopping bill as much as I possibly can.
So you spend in a week what I spend in a month.Seems steep to me. I reckon my bill is usually around £100 per week. That's for 3 adults all week and then some weekends another 1 and sometimes 2 adults. Plus a small dog who needs feeding too.:D I cook from scratch all the time and we all love our food.
I think i need some money saving tips from you 2 !
Beanielou - how do you manage to feed 2 people for £45 a week? I never get lucky at the yellow label section. There is only ever ready meals/high fatty foods whenever i get there.

We seem to be spending around £120 weekly for 3 adults and a teenager, we cook from scratch and it includes work/school dinners. It seemed to jump up quite a bit when I started SW, but I buy things that are better for me and they all seem to want the same as well as the junk food I can't haveSW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0

Basically I dont have a choice Rainbow.
I do a big shop in Aldi at the beginning of the month.
I trek round supermarkets when I am in my nearest big town & get offers.
I can also be very lucky at the reductions at our local supermarket particularily on fruit and veg.

Can I ask what the shred dvd is?? I am assuming it is an excerise one..
I had a c-section 10 weeks ago - so have not been doing much exercise - apart from walking - so looking now to increase my activity.
Thanks!0 -
I try hard to feed myself and DH for about £50 a week but it's creeping closer to £60 with all the prices going up. That does include all toiletries and cleaning materials but not alcoholic drinks. I'm fortunate that I could spend more but I hate being ripped off so I treat it as a challenge to spend a minimum. I have the time now to shop around so I go to Aldi/Lidl and then top up in Asda or Sainsbury's. I also buy bits and pieces from £ shop etc.
I think SW could be seen as more expensive. It's definitely possible to buy junk food more cheaply but I reckon if I can lose weight and be healthy then it's worth it!0 -
thanks for your input everyone - I always knew it was a bit more expensive here and to be honest maybe we could cut it down a bit but there are certain brands that my DH likes that I suppose are more expensive and he drinks soya milk rather than regular which I know is more expensive
Anyway, I now have my week's shopping and ready to cook today for the weekend and hopefully for another few evenings during the week that I can put in the freezer.
today looks like this -
B - vegetable frittata, 45g grated mozzarella (HEA)
S - FF vanilla yoghurt, banana, fig, nectarine
L - salad nicoise (4)
S - 2 slices WM bread, 1% sliced pastrama, lettuce, tomato, pickled cucmbers (HEB) (2)
D - veg & chickpea soup; roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, sweetened baby carrots, Israeli salad, techina (8)Mediterranean Mum

Well done TIE - keep up the good work.
Had a bit of a NSV this morning - got into a size 20 M&S skirt. It's an elasticated waist but it went over the hips which considering I've been wearing 22 or 24s for the last however many years is a good sign.
I'm not getting on the scales until August 1st and I don't feel any lighter but as I have so much to lose maybe it needs to be quite a large number of kilos off before I do feel it.Mediterranean Mum
