Depends on whether you're doing EE, Red or Green day.

If Red or EE then gammon will be free (as long as fat removed).

Very mixed up day today here. 90% humidity and I'm dying. Had to sit in an non-airconditioned apartment this morning waiting for the electric company and what was meant to be a 30 minute job became 4 hours! I had no water and no snacks with me - very bad planning I know but really didn't think I was going to get caught out.

Four hours gave me loads of time to menu plan and write the shopping list for the coming week - every cloud has a silver lining !!!!

Poor you mm, but well done for using your time productively. You seem to have been doing so well lately. Do you feel any slimmer?

We had a discussion around planning at our group today. I was amazed how many people don't plan their meals or shopping lists. The woman next me said 'I just go out and buy a load of food'. Just thought maybe planning isn't as widespread as I thought.:o

Don't feel any different whatsoever Maman and the clothes aren't any different either!

Re planning, I think us lot on here do it because we've become accustomed to it by watching each other do it. In a group setting, the people are only together once a week and not working together on a day to day basis the way we are here - I think that makes such a difference and makes everyone much more disciplined - especially those of us who are here every day. I know I wouldn't be back on plan if it weren't for the fact that I was able to chat all day every day here.

Sorry to hear of your gain, are you keeping a food diary of everything you are eating, counting all syns & eating all syns? Are you having 1/3 SF with each meal (I persnally have 1/3 SF Day rather than with every meal). You may find posting your meal plan here helps, someone can see if there is any room for improvement x

I haven't been consistent in keeping a food diary.
I haven't always eaten all my syns
My consultant brought in real plates of meals this week. Definitely haven't been having 1/3 superfree... thought I had the hang of this but obviously not :o
Know just how you feel - I went through the same and got very disheartened.

Are you writing out a food plan and sticking to it? Be honest!
Have you put your menus on here so that everyone can look at it and see if there is somewhere you are going wrong?
    Are you drinking enough fluids?
Are you exercising (I'm not so I'm not one to talk!)
    Are you eating enough?
    Are you eating your syns?
    good luck
Probably not drinking enough, a bit hit and miss. Realised last week I hadn't been eating enough, often missing breakfast. Tried to put it right, but wen too far the other way!:)

Sorry to hear that mymamma. I'd recommend a food diary. Lots of us post them on here. I find it a good discipline and others will comment if they notice anything that needs tweaking. Plus you get to read about all the lovely things others make.
I'm going to try posting my food diary. Thanks everyone for your help and encouragement.
Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A
  • Mymamma that's what we're here for and that's what makes the difference between going to group once a week and coming in here every day. People get angry that they haven't lost and think that they've been doing everything according to plan. The consultant tries to help by looking at the sample food diaries but it's only by posting on here every day that you can be really true to yourself.

    good luck

  • Just interested to know what your weekly shopping bills are in the UK on this plan?

We are a couple plus two kids (plus married son and DIL at the weekend). My bill works out at the equivalent of GBP190 per week. That's for everything including toiletries. I do buy extra fruit and veg in the week, probably adding another GBP60 to the bill.

Just interested to know how it compares with the UK.

Wow. That seems like a lot of money to me but then im just me on my own. I do a monthly shop which include toiletries/other household goods and comes to around £75. I then also do a small weekly shop where i buy fresh fruit/salad stuff/milk etc which i spend approx £10 . So in reflection to my spend on me alone the £190 isnt that bad given your feeding more people.

Well Ive only got myself and my DS who is 19 & I reckon on avarage I spend an avarage of £45.But I am on a tight budget and as much as possible look for things that are on offer.
I am always looking to reduce my shopping bill as much as I possibly can.
So you spend in a week what I spend in a month.

Seems steep to me. I reckon my bill is usually around £100 per week. That's for 3 adults all week and then some weekends another 1 and sometimes 2 adults. Plus a small dog who needs feeding too.:D I cook from scratch all the time and we all love our food.
