Just checking in to say that's me all packed and ready for my hols... this week has been a disaster, my head has been in holiday mode and I've been picking at the dreaded chocolate. Last night we were using up what was in the fridge and I made chicken & chips for everyone (proper chips out the deep fat fryer) but as I was waitng for the fat to heat I thought, why am I doing this to myself and put a baked tattie on for me instead.. so I had grilled chicken breast, baked tattie and salad for tea, then found a snickers in the cupboard and scoffed that
Any hoo, i'm going to enjoy my holiday but will need your help and support to get back on the wagon when I get back.
Stay good folks. xxx
K&F have a wonderful time and enjoy yourself. Don't forget how far you have come - over 3st - so don't beat yourself up about the last week. Try and eat healthily while away and drink lots of water to keep hydrated and you'll be absolutely fine.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Morning everyone!
Well as you know I'd started off a lot better this week but yesterday all went wrong, we were out all day visiting Sheffield university, had a lovely blueberry muffin whilst there and then chippy chips, mushy peas and gravy - now I'm dreading tomorrows WI as I don't seem able to get away with even the one slip up.
Some of you have mentioned Success Express can anyone tell me what it means please, I'm getting desperate now. If I don't lose this week I'm seriously thinking of stopping going meetings.SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -
Well, there will be 4 of us for lunch today. I am doing turkey crown, potatoes roasted in Frylite, savoy cabbage, parsnips (roasted in frylite), carrots and peas. I will do gravy with chicken bovril but we only like a splash.
THEN ...... I am afraid to say we are going to have Tiramasu. I found it lurking in the freezer and it needs polishing off!:p However, it's not very large and cut into 4 will only give an average piece.
I stick to SW EE to the letter all week and never have my full syns and I also never eat between meals so I'll just have to see what happens. At least the Tiramisu will be gone from my freezer!:rotfl:
I will be back on track for this evening as we are having smoked salmon and prawns and salad. (That's what I was peeking in the freezer for in the first place!:rotfl:)0 -

PS71, I could and probably did write exactly this about 4 months ago. I started at the end of December and lost about the same as you in about the same amount of time. I think went on holiday, came back and just couldn't get back into it. I had weeks and weeks of staying the same; putting on, taking off, whatever and in the end I ended up back where I started. The only think that I kept constant was coming on here. I read and posted every day and told everyone what was going on. It's taken a long time but I've finally found my mojo again and am back on track.
Personally I wouldn't stop going to meetings but if you're not staying for the whole session then it's a waste of time and money. Even if you just pick up one nugget of information/advice it's worth it and it will eventually speak to you.
I can't remember how much you have to lose but be kind to yourself - we're all here to help and support you too.Mediterranean Mum

Sucess Express means filling the plate with 2/3rds superfree foods and 1/3 free. Usually the ratio is the opposite.
I think it is quite an easy way to boost your loss.
I need to do a day or two myself, put on a pound last week and have family coming to stay tomorrow for a few weeks. i havent seen my daughter for nearly 3 months so there will be quite a few syns consumed!Norn Iron Club member 4730 -

Sounds like Christmas at your house Penny. I suppose it makes sense with the way the weather's been!Another person I used to know really well has died this week from damm cancer. Two people in two days.Bah is all.
So sorry to hear that beanielou. It certainly puts our little concerns into perspective.
HP, it's that feeling of if we've messed up a day we might as well mess up another that is so hard to break. I always find that planning (meals and associated shopping) is what helps me. Plus once your weightloss starts to show in dropped dress sizes, there's no way I'd want to go back to bigger clothes. My WI is on Thursday mornings. I don't have to go every week but I try to go when I can. Also if target members miss too many weeks then access to the website is stopped.
Hang on in there PS71. If you're finding it hard to stick to the plan, I think you'll find it even harder if you stop going. Just keep piling on the SFs, it'll definitely help.
I think what's been happening to me this week is I've been doing too many sauces which have syns in them. When I was getting to target I would do strictly syn free SW meals for everyone, visitors included! Now instead of tomato based sauces there's more wine and cornflour and honey and cheese creeping in. You're right mm, it has been difficult to maintain as there's a tendency to either stcik with the plan and keep losing (my problem for most of the year) or introduce extras and start to enjoy them too much.:o
Today's EE menu:
B: baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: LO sweet and sour with ricebeef in red wine with new pots and loads of veggies
Syns: DIY Eton Mess, wine, red wine sauce, cheeses:o
DH's brother is coming round to discuss his coming wedding where DH is going to be best man so that's why I'm pushing the boat out a bit. Definitely back on plan tomorrow!0 -
The line has been drawn! So far it has been a good day
Breakfast
2 x HiFi Light (B), FF Yogurt, Apple
Lunch
Omelette (2 eggs, no milk), Tomatoes
Feeling much better today, thanks for all the comments/support.
Maman, you are definitely right about the planning, I didn't do very well with that this week. Going to draw up a list and get everything I need tomorrow so I am well stocked up. Going to go and have a read through all my magazines/recipes I have saved and try some new things too.Slimming World Target Achieved 13/09/12!0 -
