Morning all,
Just reading through the weekend's posts:
HP- How did your day go yesterday, post-line?
K&F - Have a great holiday!
Kitty - Welcome!
MedMum- You're doing really well, well done!
TIE - Fingers crossed for a STS at least, but if you can't let your hair down a bit for special occasions when you're at goal when can you do it?!
Sarah - congrats on getting to goal! Probably sensible to keep your goal a bit higher atm, can always lower it once babs arrives
Busy weekend for me. Good foodwise except I think I may have unintentionally drunk 1.5 pints regular coke on Sat nightWent out for friend's birthday and I volunteered to drive so was on diet coke, except when I tasted it I wasn't sure it was diet. OH assured me it was, but when I had the next one it was definitely diet and I could taste the difference, at which point OH says 'oh well the barman wasn't paying much attention when he served me last time so it could be.' GRRR! Friend bought me a half later and am sure it was regular but couldn't really do anything when someone had bought it for me. I know it's not the end of the world but it just irritates me as I ordered diet every time and it's syns (just worked it out and 18 syns to be precise ) that I could have used on something I really enjoy.
Anyway, didn't have my full quota of syns all week and did a lot of DIY over the weekend - tiling, weeding, strimming and shifting a couple of free lovely sofas that my SILs friend was throwing out :money: so hopefully WI tonight will be kind. Would love to get 2.5 stone award by SILs wedding 2 weeks today but with pub crawl next Sat I doubt that'll happen!
Enough rambling - EE today:
B: Oats (B), milk (A), ff Greek yog, raspberries
L: Chilli & rice

Morning All :hello:
Hope you are all well, not had a chance to get on over the weekend. I was out shopping all day Saturday then most of yesterday. I have been very good over the weekend, had a jacket potato on Saturday for lunch on Saturday & while DH was chomping into a fish supper, I had my SW quiche, salad & jacket potato. I only missed Jillian on Sunday but done her this morning. I got holiday clothes in a size 10 & didn’t try them on until I came home & they fit but still room for improvement! I still have 3 items left in my syn box.
Todays EE Plan
B - Berries, Melon FF Nat Yoghurt
L – WM Bread (b) with ham, mayo 0.5 & salad, strawberries, nectarine
D – SW Burger with cheese (A); SW chips; broccoli, cauliflower
S – Muller Toffee yoghurt & banana:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

I found a tunic top at the back of my wardrobe today which I hadn't tried on since around Xmas time when it was decidely snug and I looked terrible in it.
Put it on without really thinking and it's hanging off me. I have only lost 8.5 lbs but I must have lost more in inches.
I also tried on some jeans with a belt and I am on hole number 5 and a few months ago it was hole no 1!:o:o
I am hoping to at least lose a pound this week as I stayed the same last week and was not pleased TBH. WI on Wed night.0 -
Morning All
How are we all doing? Feeling a bit more upbeat this morning which is great (and its a monday ). I decided on Friday night that i should go to the gym so i went - weighed myself (gained 5lbs over the space of a month) but seeing the gain has spurred me into taking action because i have been a bit half assed about SW the past week if i am honest.
Spent 45 mins there on the tread mill ( did 2 minutes running, and a minute & half walk) . Left feeling great & that i had brushed away some cobwebs. Did the same on Saturday morning and yesterday i went for a short bike ride. I feel that the exercise has done me a world of good actually. I have a session this evening with a personal trainer (new service that local gym is offering - thought id take advantage of it)
So my menu for today is EE -
B - scrambled eggs, 2 turkey rashers & some mushrooms
L - Chicken salad with new potatoes
D - WM Pasta with veggies, quorn peices. Sauce is half a WW mushroom sauce (82 calories for half a jar, and half a tin of chicken soup to make more sauce - 80 calories for half a tin) . So have split the meal into 3 portions so i make that 60 calories for a portion = 3 syns for the sauce)
Have i added that up right ^^^:undecided
Snacks - melon, pineapple, cherry muller light, blueberries
Hex A - 45g of reduced fat cheese on pasta
Hex B - Dried apple peices
Hope everyone is feeling ok, congrats to those who have lost

Had a busy crappy weekend here so trying to make up for it next few days on success express, someone asked about it earlier and as I got leaflet out thought id post it maybe someone could put it in recipe section or something....
Success express.....
Focus on free food power-
Enjoy three success express meals a day, each mealtime follow the 2-1 plate principal: fill one third of your plate with free foods from either or both plans red and green and 2/3 of your plate with superfree foods e.g have a third of your plate of jacket potato and tuna and two third a huge salad filling rest of plate.
Choose your healthy extras-
Each day choose once or twice from the a list, and twice from the b list. You can add your healthy extras to a meal e.g a sandwich containing 1/3 plate of ham and 2/3 of a plate of salad or you can enjoy the healthy extras between meals.
Snack on superfree foods-
Between meals, for starters or desserts enjoy superfree foods . Fresh or frozen fruits and veg, also enjoy those foods free on red and green days eggs, fat free dairy products, and veg proteins .
Enjoy 5-15 Syns-
Count the higher syn value where they differ,e.g a sausage has 6 on a red day but 8 on a red day so on a success express day count the higher.
Can I have second helpings?
Yes you can, but use the 2-to-1 plate principal.
What about desserts and starters?
Count as Syns, unless they're superfree or free on both plans so melon would be free salmon count it as 2 Syns per 28g
Can I enjoy storecupboard staples?
Use these foods to cook with freely and boosts your losses.
Hot tip. If you find yourself building a tower of free foods to squeeze it into the 1/3 principal it may be better using extra easy green or red.LOST 7ST 1/2LB July-groc chal £209/£300

Ooh well done- great feeling isn't it! That has reminded me that on Sat I got into a pair of jeans that I bought last year when I was a bit slimmer for about a week, and they fit better now than they did thenEven though I haven't noticed a huge difference in my size I must have lost inches as I tried the same pair on a few weeks ago and could get them on but they were tight. Getting into them on Sat inspired me to be designated driver as planned as I fancied a drink but didn't want to use the syns (or pay for a taxi)

Yet another grey day here but I'm not going to let it depress me.
:Ton reaching your goal sarah. Do you have the pregnancy advice from SW?
penny, I think you've had what's called a NSV (non scale victory) with your top and belt. Good for you! And rfd, I'm so pleased the exercise is doing you good. The feel good factor is shining out of your post. Good luck with the personal trainer. Remember to measure yourself as you might lose inches rather than pounds to start with.
Get you buying size 10 holiday clothes, macpep! How long have you got before you go away?
That's so infuriating about the coke Blodwen I just hate wasting syns:mad: If I were you I'd go almost syn free between now and the weekend so you can enjoy the pub crawl. That's just my advice not official btw.
I had loads of syns yesterday, mostly alcoholic but today will be better.
EE plan:
B: muesli, strawberries, HEA milk
L: LO beef casserole with new potatoesbeef stir fry with Golden rice
Syns: muesli isn't on SW list, some in casserole sauce but stir fry will be free and packed with SFs so not too bad.
Am off to a nibbly party later but I'm reckoning that if I have dinner first first I shouldn't really need to eat there.0 -
Mini victory for me today - I have a day of almost back to back meetings including taking a client to sort out a utility account. On the way back, he asked me if I could take him to buy some groceries - I did cos he's 85 years old and it's 85 degrees outside and I felt sorry for him. Anyway I'm in the supermarket with him and hungry (it's 11.15) and he was buying cake and biscuits (he'd invited me back for tea!!!!) - I bought two FF vanilla yoghurts which I ate with my tea back at his apartment - can you see my halo!!!!!!!! :A
Second moment was after the next meeting when I knew I had an hour to kill before the next one and I thought should I come home or hang around and grab some lunch in town (which I would certainly have done a few weeks ago) - I came home and had my vegetable & lentil soup with 4-grain pilaf, exactly as written on my daily plan, followed by two nectarines. :j
Off to [STRIKE]polish my halo[/STRIKE] my next meeting and speak to you all later !!!!!Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -

Well done you. It is the best feeling. Even if nobody has noticed I've lost weight (well one person has) I can feel it and I'm getting to like the feeling.0 -
Hi Blodwen, I've read their advice online but to be honest it's just common sense really. I think the structure of SW will be a really useful way to not put much weight on. It's funny, I was talking to my old Japaense flatmate and we get really different advice over here than in say, Japan, where my old flatmate is from. She was astonished at the pregnancy advice over here not to gain more than a stone. Over there they say four pounds is a normal amount to gain! (Not including the baby of course - no idea how you're supposed to tell what's you and what's baby when it's still inside you.)0
