Mediterranean_Mum wrote: »Mini victory for me today - I have a day of almost back to back meetings including taking a client to sort out a utility account. On the way back, he asked me if I could take him to buy some groceries - I did cos he's 85 years old and it's 85 degrees outside and I felt sorry for him. Anyway I'm in the supermarket with him and hungry (it's 11.15) and he was buying cake and biscuits (he'd invited me back for tea!!!!) - I bought two FF vanilla yoghurts which I ate with my tea back at his apartment - can you see my halo!!!!!!!! :A
Second moment was after the next meeting when I knew I had an hour to kill before the next one and I thought should I come home or hang around and grab some lunch in town (which I would certainly have done a few weeks ago) - I came home and had my vegetable & lentil soup with 4-grain pilaf, exactly as written on my daily plan, followed by two nectarines. :j
Off to [STRIKE]polish my halo[/STRIKE] my next meeting and speak to you all later !!!!!
Well done. It's those mini victories that add up.0 -

I don't think your halo needs polishing, it's shining so brightly you won't need to put the lights on at your house - Martin would be so proud!!! You are doing great. x0 -

Polish your halo with pride MM!:) I'm just back from shopping and all I could smell whilst out today was baking bread, onions cooking and gorgeous coffee. It was like a nightmare really - everywhere I looked people were stuffing their faces with big cakes and baguettes. You know those nightmares where people are right in your face, laughing and waving things in front of you.:rotfl::rotfl: I needed something but not fruit as I'd had banana, blueberries and grapes with my oatflakes.
I saw a fishmongers and they had 10 crabsticks for £1 so I had those and the hunger pangs have gone off now.0 -

Hi All,
Started at SW last wednesday and still trying to get my head around it after doing WW a number of times over the last 10 years!
Can I ask some quick questions?
Does anyone know the syn value for a medium hot choc (with skimmed milk) from Costa coffee?
Also, how long would you put a pork chop in the george forman for?
final one! Im off to see some events for the olympics at the start of august and im going to be staying in a travelodge. I am okay for brekkie's (will take cereal and longlife milk and bananas) but wondering what I can buy for lunches? Also we will be eating out at restaurants everyday-what would be my best options on EE. I dont want to be having Jackets spuds everyday!
Thanks!0 -
Yah for your halo MedMum.
Hoping for a loss tonight of maybe 1 1/2.

I found this on the website
Black Forest Hot Chocolate, Skimmed Milk, Takeaway, 1 medio
and it's 23 syns!
Sorry can't help with the George Foreman as I don't have one. As for the eating out then your best bet is salads (without dressing) or pasta with tomato based sauces. It might be worth you taking a little bottle of low fat (below 40 cals) dressing or some balsamic with you to add to salads. I find the tuna nicoise in Pret a Manger good as the dressing comes separately and you can be sparing or add your own.0 -

Hello
Answers to your questions -
Hot chocolate - don't know exactly but i'd guess pretty high despite being made with skimmed milk .[STRIKE]Maybe 10 syns??[/STRIKE] see Maman answer:eek:
Pork - Again personally i would syn the pork per 100g because its a fatty meat as a rule. Make sure all fat has been removed. I know meat is free on EE but i noticed that its just extra lean sort of meats - ie chicken, turkey, extra lean mince. Lean mince has to be synned for example.
Olympics - Try to choose dishes that dont come with a creamy sauce. Eat your veggies before anything else. If you do have a sauce then ask for it to come on the side so you can control how much you put on your plate. Try to eat chicken/turkey or salads - again watch for mayo/dressings as they are high in syns. Avoid alcohol. Have fruit for dessert?
What events are you going to see? Hope you enjoy yourselves

Hi mamam and beanielou
omg, that is such a high syn value, think I may stick to my WW hot choc sachets at 1.5 syn!
I hadn't thought about taking salad dressing with me, that's such a good idea! Thank you.
Really looking forward to weigh in on Wednesday, does that make me a bit sad?!
Im hoping for a 3lbs loss for my first week!0
