Is there a new mag out? Will go and look at lunchtime. Are we talking July or Aug? I have the July one.
Another pound off for me. I know I'm not exactly supposed to be losing, being pregnant, but that leaves me one pound from my original goal weight and in a good place mentally. Since doing Alizonne last week my appetite has decreased dramatically, which is very good as my steroids are supposed to make me ravenous, so feels like I've cancelled it out.
Menu for today:
B: two slices wholemeal with marmite, rasp low fat yog
L: tuna saladcod with puy lentils
S: nectarine and probably a yogurt, plus a few ginger sweets for the nausea (half a syn each).0 -

I agree! I think you're meant to decide on a large number (e.g.60) for a special occasion but still somehow keep track as you're doing it?? To me it means having too many syns deliberately and then jumping straight back on the wagon the next day. I think the thinking behind it is that if you have a number in mind (albeit high) your still doing 'mindful eating'. The starting afresh the next day is to stop people saying 's*d it'. Personally I can do mindful eating until the mindless drinking kicks in!!confused57 wrote: »There's NO WAY that you bore anyone, anything that helps you, or anyone else stay on track is fine by us (I'm sure I speak for us all). We are all in this together. Stick at it and you'll get there! x
Indeed you do!!so don’t know how I will fare up! I watched a 4 minute 3d movie in Las Vegas last year & felt as sick as a dog when I came out
Perhaps feeling sick will stop you eating!;) I think you're very brave. I used to send DH to the cinema with our DDs when they were younger.
Your menu looks great mm, you seem to have had a really good week so far. :T well done.
I had a very hit and miss day yesterday. It could have been perfect EE but I kept sabotaging it. Breakfast I had proper muesli as I'd run out of Puffed Wheat. Lunch could have been a great salad but I had a bread roll and some (low fat but not low enough) dressing. Dinner, I used shop bought 'home made' lamb burgers so unlike my own they'd have syns in them. It just goes to show how you can follow the plan and yet not IYSWIM. I'm sure this is what happens to lots of people new to SW.
Oh and to top all that I had a little bar of chocolate:o this was a reward for resistng sitting in a pub garden (or my own garden later) drinking chilled white wine on the only sunny day we've had in weeks!:(
Not sure what I'm having today yet as I'm off to do a meal plan and shopping list. I've got people coming on Sunday but other than that I should be able to stick to plan quite well.
Today's EE:
B: fried egg, mushrooms, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas.
L:??

Yes, due to last nights dinner mishap, DH said you can have the fajita chicken with me, looked at ingredients as front said chicken with tomato, peppers, herbs, ingredients had rapeseed oil butter etc :eek:New magazine is out in group (Aug/Sept). Are posts disappearing today? I swear I posted earlier that I am making Dyno-rod soup for the first time. It's bubbling away in a massive pot and smells lovely. :j0

I can try and do it off the top of my head, but if someone is going to scan it then that's probably more reliable! I did change a few things though - it says (IIRC) 375g of pasta for 4 but I used 240g and it made 4 good portions (the courgette bulks it out a lot). I also used a tub of Quark instead of cottage cheese - I wonder if CC might make it a bit watery? Also used basil and oregano instead of parsley and tweaked the cheese a bit - used 1.5 HEs and 1.5 syns each (for the 2 of us for one day, then the second 2 portions today were free - hope that makes sense) which worked out as 90g grated mozzarella, 2 slices light cheddar and 2tbsp parmesan. Half the mozzarella and the chopped up cheddar went in the sauce while the rest went on the top. Mmmm I love a gooey cheesy topping *drool*...:)2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Here is a quick cottage pie for one if you are in a hurry - you can basically add whatever you like & leave the cheese if you don't want tis scrummy with a side of veg
- Frylight or tsp olive oil (HEB)
- A small portion of raw extra lean mince beef
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- ½ medium green pepper (de-seeded and chopped)
- 2 tbsp canned sweetcorn (drained)
- 1 heaped tbsp baked beans
- 1 small baking potato (or any mash potato)
- 30g Grated cheddar cheese (HEA)
- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan or wok. Add the chopped onion and cook until starting to soften (about 3-4 minutes). Put the potatoes on to cook so that they are ready at the same time as the sauce
- Add the mince and cook until browned on all sides. Add the peppers, sweetcorn and baked beans and continue to cook for 7-8 minutes until the peppers start to soften.
- Turn on the grill
- Drain the potatoes and mash with a little milk from HEA if required. Place the meat sauce into an ovenproof dish and top with the potato and grated cheese
- Place under a hot grill for 2-3 minutes or until the top has gone golden brown

Thanks ladies. Denise if you can that would be great, thanks and I'll PM you my email address.
Having a c**p day mentally which fortunately hasn't impinged on the eating - massive barny with my married son who's now not talking to us; office upside down as I was moving some furniture upstairs and some new stuff in; blocked drain in the kitchen; not done any of the cooking that I intended to - now the tennis is on and I just want to sit down and watch it and do none of the tons of other stuff I have to do!Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
hello ladies!!!!!
how is everyone? lordy its been a manic few months, so apologies for not being here. any banter?
I lost 1lb last night and was told that i have 3lb to go to get my 2.5st award and 5lb to go until i reach target!!!
I might reset the target so im in the 11's rather than 12st 1... that little 2lb difference would bug me i know it lol! on the upside, i got fitted for a bridesmaid dress yesterday, and according to the woman the dress is a size 14, which is actually a high street 12!! :j:j:j:beer::beer::j:j:j
maybe another half a stone or a little more and i will be the 10-12 that i dreamed of... though my bum is very much a 12-14 still lolI'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0
