I love the 'plan' but the meetings are most definately not for me.
But on a better note, i found out my scales were + 2 stone too heavy!
So by just attending the meeting, I lose 2st :rotfl:
Anyway, I'm off to eat some cabbage!
What didn't you like abut meetings? I wasn't sure when I started - lots of people seemed to know each other and I was worried it'd be a bit cliquey, but I love it now and stay every week. Maybe it'll grow on you?Mediterranean_Mum wrote: »So it's day 5 and 6 (weekend over here) and I'll be cooking this morning for both days. Here's the plan -
b - vegetable frittata with 45g grated mozzarella (HEA); salad with 1T light mayo (2)
l - large salad nicoise with dressing made from 1T light mayo (2)
d - vegetable & lentil soup; grilled boneless chicken thighs, vegetable stew, Israeli salad (HEB)
snacks - FF vanilla yoghurt, frozen berries, watermelon
b - Israeli salad, hard-boiled egg, tuna, 1T light mayo (2) (HEB)
l - grilled chicken strips, 4-grain pilaf, coleslaw (2)
d - vegetable quiche, green salad, potato salad (HEA) (4)
snacks - FF vanilla yoghurt, banana, grapes, cherries, melon
Keeping the syns as light as possible in the meal planning so that I have room for extras but more importantly try to make up for yesterday's disaster!
Plan is also to make sure that I drink 2 litres of water on both days.
Sounds lovely Med Mum and having read your post about last night it doesn't sound like you've gone too far over. What is in Israeli salad?
OH was back last night and while I was having a quick look in the new mag whilst waiting for him to come in I saw the recipe for courgette pasta bake so decided to make it. I have probably mentioned on here that although OH is kind of following SW with me he is inherently suspicious of anything I cook which is out of his comfort zone and thinks I try and sneak veg into everything (which of course I do) Anyway, he found out what it was (dunking a load of grated courgette into the pasta water probably looked a bit weird) and was giving me evils the whole time I was cooking it BUT even he agreed it was lovely and we both have the rest for lunch tomorrow! Moral of the story - ignore him and cook what I want anyway :rotfl:
Another green day today:
B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana
L: L/O courgette pasta bake
T: Not sure yet, maybe egg or veggie sausages, chips and beans
S: Strawberries, cherries, 2 x Alpen light (B), some for of biscuit or 2 for syns

I was also going to ask what an Israeli salad is, as never heard of it.
When I was looking through the magazine yesterday after Group I was thinking about adding the courgette pasta bake into next month's menu (I always plan my meals a month in advance, armed with various cookbooks and magazines). Glad you and your OH thought it was lovely, gives me confidence to give it to mine:D (he's suspicious of anything which isn't meat based!)

As I've said so many times I just wish I could bottle the awful ill feelings I've had for the last few weeks. I do feel that I still want to eat something this evening though so going to bed and hopefully I can forget about it.
Dinner changed to LO cottage pie instead of the 4-grain pilaf which I had with the halibut and coleslaw. I then had a Cadbury's Options which I believe is 2 syns so total syns is 8.
Tomorrow is day 4 and looks like this -
B - FF vanilla yoghurt with frozen strawberries
L - lentil & vegetable soup; vegetable frittata
D - lentil & vegetable soup; chicken strips; 4-grain pilaf
snacks - cherry tomatoes
Sorry to bore everyone with this but feel I have to blog it to help me stay on track.[/QUOTE

Morning All :hello:
Well dinner never went to plan last night my stupid OH forgot to marinate the pork, so its been marinating overnight, that shall be tonights’ dinner, ended up with salad, couple of tablespoons of savoury rice & cheese, ham & mushroom omelette, bit random but OH was having M & S chicken fajita thing with the rice & I didn’t want any to go to waste.
I done Jillian last night & then again this morning, so keeping on track. I had a curly wurly out my syn box last night, put it in freezer first, it was lovely, couple of glasses of diet Irn bru then book & bed. We are taking kids to the cinema tonight to see the new Ice Age 4 in 3d, sounds daft but 3d films make me feel sick, I suffer from motion sickness so don’t know how I will fare up! I watched a 4 minute 3d movie in Las Vegas last year & felt as sick as a dog when I came out
Todays EE menu
B – Melon & Strawberries (No nat yogurt left for my berries L)
L - WM Pitta (B) with chicken, salad, melon, strawberries, nectarine
D- Fajita pork pasta (A), salad, strawberries
S – Banana, plums, treat from syn box for cinema:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Wow that's a result! Shame you didn't like the group, what was the consultant like? Maybe another group may be better for you? You'll get loads of support and advice on here, welcome x0 -
Welcome to all newbies, you've come to the right place, loads of support on here.
Hugs for anyone struggling, well done to the losers!
I am STILL going up and down between 8st 13 and 9st 1 so I have decided (after about EIGHT months of doing this) that I am going to raise my target to 8st 12 and be done with it. My consultant has been saying for a while that she thought my original target of 8st 5 must have been too low, even though I got there in 10 months (end of 2008) but my stubborn self just wanted to be able to say I had lost 3 stone. Well now I have made this decision I really feel like a great weight has been lifted from me.0 -
Israeli Salad
4 or 5 Mediterranean cucumbers (those are much smaller and thinner than the standard British ones - and have a lot more flavour too!)
1 red pepper
1 small green pepper
4 or 5 tomatoes
5 or 6 spring onions
a bunch of flat-leaf parsley
1 lemon
salt and freshly ground black pepper
olive oil
very finely dice the cucumbers, peppers, spring onions and tomatoes and mix gently in a large salad bowl
chop the parsley fairly finely and add to the vegetables
squeeze the juice from one lemon and add to the vegetables
season with salt and freshly ground black pepper
drizzle over olive oil
mix well all together
the traditional way to serve it is in a bowl with side dishes of pitta, humous and techina, or it can be served in a pitta spread with humous, a few felafel balls dropped in, top with the Israeli salad and drizzle techina overMediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
Would love if someone could be bothered to type out the courgette pasta bake from the magazine. I emailed the consultant whose group I went to when I was in Scotland in February and she said she'd send me a copy but whether she will or not I don't know.Mediterranean Mum
