back again :rotfl:different diagnosis from doctor this time they now think i've got a trapped nerve that's causing muscle spasms, i've got a funny tingling sensation down my left arm and only realised yesterday when the doctor touched it that unless i'm looking i can't tell if someone is touching my arm!
I'm now on diazepam and tramadol.... phew this is good stuff :rotfl:until it makes me sick about 2 hours after i've taken it! It was a different doctor to the one i saw last week who told my dad i had an eating disorder and he went mental cos of what they said i didn't expect it at all! He was like 'my daughter has worked bloody hard to lose weight and somebody comes along and says she has an eating disorder!' i just sat there with my mouth open!
So now I have to take these for a week and go back to doctors i've been referred for physiobut she said that can take weeks to come through. I just want to be back to normal now my stomach hurts from all the vomitting and i look like death on legs :) i'm also really missing Jillian (that must be the tramadol making me delerious!!!)
Thank you all for your well wishes and concern hopefully i willl be back fighting fit soon!

Oh no, hope you are feeling better soon!

EE day yesterday, and used no syns at all, all day :T (I used plenty at the weekend!)

B: poached egg on toast (dry, 1x HEB), and bananna
L: Ham, cucumber, pickled onions, activia FF yogurt
    D: Chicken stirfry and noodles
S: Grapes, cherry's, crabsticks, Hi Fi light bar (1x HEB)

(ETA: HEA was milk for my cuppas)

Also went swimming after work :A

Will be similar daytime meals/snacks today, but need to think about dinner - maybe spag bol or cottage pie as its cold and wet today and I fancy something comforting.

  • Hi Vicki - glad to hear that something more is being done and you seem to have some kind of answer - just make sure that you get to the bottom of it and don't you even dare attempt Jillian until you are 100% better.

Hi Medmum, I would love to work from home but I suppose that is the downside, the discipline. Can you not make up your "lunch" the night before & also decide what you are having for Breakfast & any snacks, put them in a large tub or bag in the fridge & have set break times i.e.

    Teabreak/breakfast 10.00am - 10.15am
    Lunch 30 minutes or 1 hour - 12.00-1pm
    Snack between 3-4pm

That way if you have made stuff at night when its cooler you won't need to worry about being to hot & having to stand & make something

I wish you well at WI as I know you have been working hard with your walking :D
So many great ideas from you Macpep but can't remember what this specific one was :rotfl: - if it was to change up the plan and look at new menu ideas then yes that's exactly what I've been doing :T
This was the specific one :D

CY - We seem to be following the same pattern! I also put on 0.5lb this week  I have been getting up at 6am every morning to do Jillian before I go to work, only day I never done it was Sunday as I was a little delicate after our anniversary dinner, I must have drank too much wine as I hardly have any syns through the week.

I am on holiday 4 weeks on Friday, and the last few weeks, I have put on 2lb, I am feeling totally deflated now :(.

I think a different approach is needed for this week, just don't know what, I could cry I am so angry, I was hoping for at least a 2.5lb loss this week

    Todays Plan -
B - Berries with FF Nat yoghurt
L - WM Pitta, (HEB) chicken, salad, melon, strawberries
    D - Chilli (2 syns)?or quiche with salad as a side/starter
S - Apple. banana, toffee muller

Can anyone tell me how many syns in 50g Dark/Plain cooking chocolate, I made a big pot of chilli the other day with EL mince, everything else is free, think I got around 10 portions so am counting 2 syns for the chocolate, just need to know if this is enough

  • OK I remember that one Macpep - that wouldn't work for me as although I work from home I'm also out and about a lot at different times - no two days the same.

I'm trying to make myself leave my computer more though when I'm in the house. For the last few months I've been glued to it to the point that I feel guilty if I'm in the house and not working. I'm making myself get up and prepare food for different parts of the day. In the morning I've been getting the veggies out that I need for during the day and making a list of anything I need to run to the grocery store for (which I do when I'm out anyway).

I have to get it into my head that this is MY business, I set the schedule and if I'm not at my desk no-one is going to know and tell me off!!!!

    Morning folks,

RFD - good to see you back. Make sure you take it easy and look after yourself x
Vicki - hope they've got to the bottom of the problem and hope you feel better soon, just be careful with those drugs!!

Had a good day yesterday for a couple of reasons. Said no to a piece of delicious looking home-made Victoria sponge in work yesterday :) a few people tried to talk me into having some and I almost did, with the 'I've got most of the week to make up for it' excuse, but resisted and 2 mins later I wasn't fussed so was glad I said no. Later on I went to a concert with my friend to a place I've been to quite a few times and I definitely fit in the seat easier than last time I went - shame the same couldn't be said about the legroom, need to shrink a bit lengthways as well as widthways! :rotfl:

EE today - pretty much the same menu as yesterday!
    B: Bran flakes (B), milk (A), banana
L: Salad with ham and turkey, feta cheese (2.5), nectarine
T: L/O mushroom risotto with some chicken and prawns
S: Strawberries, cherries, pitta (6), mini milk (1.5)

    No you won't!

K&F you've been so supportive to me and talked me through my slump. Get the bloody chocolate out of the house and if you need something chocolaty to help you wean yourself then buy some Cadbury's Options - far fewer syns.

I know you can get over this and you will - we're all here for you.

I am exactly the same KM - i am really struggling to get myself back on track. I managed ok during the day yesterday - it all went pete tong when i got home last night. Had my dinner as planned but then went on to eat 3 bags of malteasers (treat size) & some haribo, followed by a cheesy bread roll :o

The silver lining (if you can call it that ??) is that i stopped in Wilkos on the way home on the "pretence" of buying some dental bits & bobs. Picked up what i needed along with a huge bar of chocolate. Got to the till where i thought about my reasons for buying the chocolate, and ended up putting it back. I am glad i did because i would have eaten it for sure.

I have purposely avoided the treat aisles at the supermarket knowing that if it was in the cupboard i would eat it . Luckily i now dont have much in the way of treats in the house.

Sorry for rambling a bit - Keep trying and take it a step at at a time. Its a slow process learning to change your eating habits.

  • RFD - can you exercise in the evening either before or after supper? Personally I can't but for those that can they always say that they feel so much on a high (never experience that after exercising have to admit!!!) that they eat very virtuously!!!

The thing about shopping that I've always been told is that you should never go into a shop on an empty stomach - you'll definitely buy things you don't or shouldn't need!!!!

Just need to take my own advice....

I have actually just re-joined our local gym and keeping making big plans to go but when it comes to it i just cant motivate myself to go :o

I have little motivation to do anything recently. I am finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning and find myself just lying there worrying about my parents and how they are going to cope, how i can support them when i live so far away, worrying about the cost of getting back home as often as possible & how i can fit this into my ever increasingly tight budget. I have found myself waking up with tears rolling down my face a couple of times :(

Sorry i have gone off on a tangent again i know - going back to your original point i think some exercise would actually do me some good. It might help alleviate some stress & stop me from worrying for a short time. I just have to get myself there.
