Had a day in the city today shopping. Was determined to make a good choice with my lunch and spotted a little cafe (I believe it was Moroccan (sp?) and I ordered Cous Cous and little strips of grilled chicken. Very nice it was too.:) That's fine on EE so I did OK.

Sounds lovely Pennylane. Might want to count a coupleof syns though because they will probably have brushed the chicken with oil and put a bit in the couscous.

Good news and bad news for me this week. I lost 4lbs this week so I got my 1 1/2 stone sticker and my club 10 sticker.

My consultant has left :( we have a new one and she isn't very nice (understatement of the year). My old was was absolutely fab, so laid back and friendly, I really enjoyed the image therapy. If this new woman was there when I first joined there is no way I would have stuck with it.

When going around the group talking about how much people had lost, she reads out everyones weight . When I got weighed, she didn't even comment on my 4lb loss and when I made a comment about how everything was so different this week she said 'well we are going to be doing everything properly from now on.'

I'll see how it goes, I am hoping she is just a temporary replacement until they can find someone else.

We havent had our own consultant since I joined - some of the stand ins are better than others. You can spot the ones that are there to make money, and nothing else. They resent being there longer than the 2 hours of group, and they aren't remotely inspiring. You might find that your stand in is the area manager, until someone local offers to cover it. They shouldn't be revealing your weight, either starting or current only total lost and this weeks loss.

PS71. Say aloud how much you have lost. Write it down. I find the only way it sinks in is by doing that.

PennyLane, Well done. The longer you follow SW the more "SW" friendly you think automatically. You end up trying dishes you wouldn't normally dream of jsut to stick within syns.
KandFsMam - I think of fat as handfuls - every lb is the same as cupping your hand and imagining it full of goo. Works for me ;) - I like my butter to much to think of it the way you do!
I joined slimming world last week - it was not a good week to start as i knew i had my daughers 10th Birthday party and I also had my daughter's christening on sunday - she is 8 weeks old - but i thought i would take advantage of a free membership voucher that i got in magazine!!

I went back this morning for my WI - I was delighted with my 1.5 lb weight loss.. I did not expect it with such a hectic week.. to be honest i was not going to bother going this week - but i knew that if i did not - chances are i would not go back!!

I stayed for the class - and got talking to some really nice people - everyone was so nice and welcoming. I am determined this week to give it 100%... going to take some time now to plan my meals for the next few days - and then go shopping!!

:T welcome to the wonderful world of slimming!

RFD - one day at a time as others have said, finding something to 'control' can help.

My house is mad. Littlest has yet another chest infection. *sigh* So it's messing things around again - mostly sleep. I have plenty of work that is not getting done because of it! Also planning stuff to keep two kids well behaved between here and America... eldest is easy enough - she has a DS. It's the noisy, whiny, terror that is my 19 month old that worries me!

    Keep up the good work

RFD - take things easy if you can my lovely. Time is a wonderful healer but can be a very long road. My thoughts are with you.

Sarah999 - many congratulations. Enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to having a gorgeous bundle of joy.

Piglet - wonderful words of advise as always. Thank you.

    Starfish - welcome!

And to everyone else - I hope you are having a great week whatever you are doing.

Hectic time at work for me - nearing the end of term but so much to do. Sticking to plan and managing some body magic too.

    Take care all.

    I'm hoping......

Put on .5lb this week! My legs ache from walking and I'm so fed up - but leader says that there is someone in every group in my situation.

Sadly my throat has begun to hurt in the last hour.....

Medmum - well done on the 100%, did you use my idea?

So many great ideas from you Macpep but can't remember what this specific one was :rotfl: - if it was to change up the plan and look at new menu ideas then yes that's exactly what I've been doing :T

I'm right there with you and CY - but I'm not 50 for another year and a half and I've almost stopped completely now but all the hormonal symptoms are still there - driving me mental

You know CY maybe you really are coming down with something - you've been feeling awful for a while - maybe you should go and do some bloodwork and see what that shows up. It's easy to put everything down to the menopause but maybe there's something else going on and you need some medication - take care of yourself.

  • Feeling very pleased with myself - another 100% day yesterday and having felt totally c**p for the last few weeks I actually felt a lot better last night. Still falling asleep a lot during the day but the heat and the humidity I think have a lot to answer for that but hoping that I'll see a difference in that too if I can carry on like this.

B - 2 fried (Frylight) eggs, small WM roll (HEB), salad with dressing made from 1T light mayo (2), balsamic vinegar, S&P, a little sweetner
L - tuna pasta salad (leaves, tuna, grated carrrot, sweetcorn, tomato, cucumber, red onion, beetroot, dressing - mustard, 1T light mayo (2), sweetner, S&P, rice vinegar
D - pan-fried (Frylight) halibut, 4-grain pilaf (http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/4-grain-pilaf)(2.5), coleslaw with mustard and light mayo (2) dressing

snacks - cherry tomatoes, watermelon, FF vanilla yoghurt

back again :rotfl:different diagnosis from doctor this time they now think i've got a trapped nerve that's causing muscle spasms, i've got a funny tingling sensation down my left arm and only realised yesterday when the doctor touched it that unless i'm looking i can't tell if someone is touching my arm!
I'm now on diazepam and tramadol.... phew this is good stuff :rotfl:until it makes me sick about 2 hours after i've taken it! It was a different doctor to the one i saw last week who told my dad i had an eating disorder and he went mental cos of what they said i didn't expect it at all! He was like 'my daughter has worked bloody hard to lose weight and somebody comes along and says she has an eating disorder!' i just sat there with my mouth open!
So now I have to take these for a week and go back to doctors i've been referred for physiobut she said that can take weeks to come through. I just want to be back to normal now my stomach hurts from all the vomitting and i look like death on legs :) i'm also really missing Jillian (that must be the tramadol making me delerious!!!)
Thank you all for your well wishes and concern hopefully i willl be back fighting fit soon!
