Welcome Starfish and well done on your loss this week.
Piglet, I think you're right about the weight never being revealed - it rings a bell with me too. Personally I would wait and see another week or two how it progresses and if the group are not happy with this replacement consultant report her to head office.Mediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -

Welcome starfish, good to have you on board. I, too, met some really nice people at my group which has kept me going. What I like is that they're people who only have weightloss in common so they're not necessarily people I would get to meet in other areas of my life. Very refreshing! And don't forget you're now meeting some really lovely people on here too. I only subscribe to a very few threads, steer away from the b*itchy ones. I'd hate to meet some posters on this site in RL.
On the broadcasting your weight discussion, our consultant just focuses on the total and then weekly weightloss. I'm sure that's the right way to go about it. Piglet, I'd have a word with this new consultant and ask her not to do it, if others in the group feel the same then ask them to speak up too. If she's rude/doesn't stop then do as mm suggests and report her (along with the comments about doing things properly etc.). I think it might need to be to Head Office as when we had a stand-in consultant it was the Area Manager. She was a right harridan. I was so glad when our regular (nice but dim) consultant got back.
The downside of focusing on reading out total loss (although I'm sure it's meant to be motivational) is that you get applause before she announces that you've gained or STS. It's sooo embarrassing but I knew if I signed up for SW I'd have to put up with the happy clappy side so I just grin and bear it!:rotfl:0 -
PS71 Am really sorry you're feeling so down. Looking at your signature, you've lost 1 stone 5lbs! Thats a fantastic loss :T
I weighed out 1 and a half stones of food last night and threw it all in a black sack, then tried to lift it! When I felt how heavy that bag was I was so amazed and couldn't imagine having lost that amount of weight! Sometimes we have slower weeks than others but well done you for your great loss so far :T:T:TGrocery Challenge: June £92/£5000 -

Hi All
Had an absolute hectic few days, at work as well as home. Not had a chance to read back yet so hope you are all well. I am also still having problems in the bahookie department
Not sure how I will go this week with WI, think I have been within syns but mind has been all over the place with ppi claims/babysitting/dogsitting/picking a new kitten for when we come back our holidays
Had a lovely meal out on Saturday, was really good, had melon & sorbet to start rather than my beloved pate & toast then steak with peppercorn & cream sauce with new potatoes & loads of veg. For the first time in his life my DH ate salad!!!!
Welcome to all the newbies
Sarah - Congrats & hope all goes well for you x
Vickie - Get well soon, sounds very
Medmum - well done on the 100%, did you use my idea?

hi there PS71
Sorry to hear you are so fed up, please dont give up tho,
a year ago last nite (well it was monday 4th july 2011) i walked into my local SW group and weighed in at 18.1
i have now lost 6 stone 3lbs to take me to target weight (11.12):j
i have had the slow weeks too, in march i was SOTM, loosing over half a stone...in april...i lost a pound in the whole month
i would say DEFO use the syns, thats what they are there for, cutting back on them NEVER boosted my losses,
drink plenty of water, or NAS juice,
plenty of body magic, on a daily basis if you can,
lots of super speeds and super frees,
try success express for a few days a week, alternative days,
stick with it, it does work, dont let it get you down,
i have a few rules i stick to -
- i will not waste syns on anything i can get for free, eg yoghurt, soup, meat, soft drinks, etc,
- dont deprive yourself,
- plan ahead,
- use your syns
- only take HEX from the list (i am gobsmacked at the amount of people who say, i had a pancake for my HEX today...pancakes etc is a syn!)
and please dont give up:A
you can do it,
how much in total do you want to loose, are you near target maybe? if so its just your body fighting back, trying to hold onto the pounds :rotfl:
good luck:A
Thanks for all your advice, I started at 13st 7lb and have lost 1st 5 so far and have got my 10%, but haven't set a target yet, in fact a few of us were talking about it last night and targets haven't been discussed yet. After I had the boys I did get down to 11st so thats my next goal, not sure whether I want to be less or not yet. I was really down and frustrated yesterday cos I'd been so good, I think maybe I hadn't eaten enough of the good stuff even though most of what I'd had was free.
PS Well done on staying targetSW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -

Thanks, never thought about that! I just keep seeing what I want to lose and forget what I've actually lost!SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -
I try to think of weight loss as blocks of butter. Each 1/2lb is a block of butter.
So far I have lost 92 blocks of butter which would probably fill a fridgeMortgage Aug 22 £280,000
