those of you who've been putting up with me for the last few months whilst I got myself back in line - thank you one and all - I know it's only day one but feeling good - here's to tomorrow!!!
:T on your 100% day mm. Perhaps as you've got the short term goal of going to your mum's birthday it'll keep you motivated.Had another bad week - I'm getting really fed up now and so close to giving up, 1/2 lb on this week, last week only lost 1lb and the week before only 1/2lb, so that's a grand total of 1lb over 3 weeks. I have written it all down for the last 2 weeks and have stayed within my syns everyday some days as low as 4 or 5. I wouldn't mind if I'd eaten cake / chocolate been out for a meal or drinking etc. The only thing suggested at group is I may be 'in a food rut' so I'm off to study the books.......
Do try not to be disheartened. If you're following the plan then you will lose weight. Not everyone loses on a regular basis but it always catches up whether good or bad. I know variety is important but I wouldn't have though tou'd be in a 'food rut' after just three weeks. If you have time, why not post your menus on here and then we could comment if we noticed you were going wrong anywhere or help you to tweak things.0 -
PS71 - I've been that way for a few weeks. I stopped weighing in every week and then discovered that during the month of June I didn't lose even half a pound! I thought back over the month and I know that I've been exercising but I also know that I haven't stuck to the plan 100% or anything like it. Unfortunately some people just cannot slip up even a bit and lose weight whilst others seem to be able to have binges almost every week and still pull it together and lose something. It's not fair I know.
As for syns, there are some who say that by cutting back on the syns you are doing wrong. I can't get my head round that one personally but maybe you need to up your syns a bit. The other thing I always go on about is drinking water - you should be drinking 2 litres a day.
Good luck and hopefully a change of foods will give it a shake up.Mediterranean Mum

Maman - sorry if my post was unclear, I have been doing SW since March its just the last 3 weeks it seems to be hardly working for me. Someone did mentions posting menus on here helps so might start to do that.
Medmum - I did wonder if I wasn't having enough syns but I also cannot understand why you should have them if you dont need them. If I have fruit in the house I'm more than happy to snack on that and once I allow myself to eat chocolate etc its hard to stop. But thinking back in some previous weeks I've had cake and odd day at work and still lost so there could be something in it.SW start date 20/02/12 - lost so far 2st 2.5lb0 -

I also don't get it how you have to eat the syns to lose and feel like you that if I eat chocolate or cake then I'll just want more. I tend to use my syns for mayo and things like that rather than treats.
If I prepared a tin of treats, as has been suggested, I'd eat the whole lot in one sitting!!! :eek:Mediterranean Mum

Hi everyone
I'm new here!! Be kind
A little about me.... i'm 5ft 7in and started SW end of July 2010 weighing in at 12st 4.5lb size 14/16.... By December I had lost 2st.... sailed through Xmas and got to my birthday in January and down to 10st 4. By March 2012, I was down to 9st 5excellent.... got complacent.. up and down between 9st 5 and 10st ever since.
My birthday this year I hit target of 9st 3!! I was over the moon to say the least. Then i've had 2 holidays since then and now i'm sitting at 9st 12.5lb.
Revised target is 9st exactly and so after a total binge tonight (im talking flapjacks, croissants, biscuits, dairy box!) i'm doing it from home adn using my WII Fit for my Saturday WItonights binge may have took me over the 10st mark so i'll be happy at 9st 12.5lb on saturday.
Hurdle 1: A Wedding on Saturday.
Hurdle 2: Me and OH are TTC and so it can be a bit stressful.
So that mehope to get chatting soon and hopefully get to target and stay there!!

Instead of having the tin full of treats, which you're right would be tempting why not write them all down of slips of paper. So the wine could be in the fridge etc might work, it would be likd doing a lucky dip.Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.0 -
I have been AWOL slap my wrists. Am off to get weighed this morning and update my signature later. Am liking the treat tin idea.Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.0

mmmm not sure if even that would work for me arsenalbarnie - I'm probably best to decide on a treat and syn value if and when I want it - I have to keep away from sweet stuff anyway because of the diabetes and I'm not really a wine drinker!Mediterranean Mum

morning all,
i went to class last night and gained a pound, just the one, kinda expected it as the week before i had been there at the tues morning class.
it was a year last nite since i first joined SW.
i knew i could not go this morn to class due to a training course at work, but as i explained to the consultant, even tho i am at target, i am not ready to start missing classes yet
most target members at the group only go once or twice a month, but for the mo (or maybe even for ever!) i will be going every week
its free:money: so why not!
on the bright side, it was week 9 in target range :j:beer:0
