well done medmum - you can do it. You're right we are never satisfied with the weather but my God it has been a wet summer so far in Scotland... but I'm sure your Mam tells you that too. x

My parents just got back from a cruise in the Mediterranean and it was so hot that they barely got off the boat - they were well pleased to get back to the rain!!!!

Do keep us up informed vicki, hopefully your visit to the GP today will have a better outcome than a few painkillers.

Congratulations sarah on your anniversary and your 'news'. I'd have a syn free daytime and then go totally flexi for tomorrow's meal out. It may take a little longer to get to your target but it'll be worth it to enjoy your treat to the full.

:Ton being 100% on plan mm. I think that coleslaw looks tasty. I don't have rice vinegar either. What do you use it for mainly? That photoshoot looks a real bargain and pleasant pampering as well as the photos. What a lovely idea for you and your mum.

kandfsmam, I'm with you on the wine, so we probably have syn bottles rather than tins.;) I like to save mine all up for weekends and then I have just a little left for a bit of gravy or sauce here and there through the week (I just reread that, I mean I have some syns left not wine left to go in the gravy).

I've never needed to measure anything on SW which is one of it's attractions for me. I measured out the HEA milk when I started to get a feel for the quantity and I know it's enough for a day's teas (probably too much). If I have cereal/porage I'm probably over on the milk but I reason that it's balanced by the days I'm under. My plan was that if I found it very difficult when I got nearer to target then I had some slack to take up. Fortunately I've always had my 105 syns but I could cut back if I needed.

    Today's (EE) menu:
B: scrambled eggs on HEB toast with ham, HEA milk for teas
    L: cold chicken, bubble&squeak
D: beef stir fry, savoury rice
Syns: perhaps half a tbsp of sauce with my eggs? otherwise a syn free day.
  • Rice vinegar - I bought it when I was making sushi and think I made it once - what a pfaff! I love it on salads as it has quite a different taste to other vinegars.

I have started using it in stir fries but haven't tried it on salads, will have to try that. I got a big bottle for about £1 in Asda (I think, but possibly Home Bargains!)

I am walking home from work tonight but really can't be bothered and weather has turned drizzly :( Hoping the rain stays off as it's fairly warm and there's nothing worse than sweating in a waterproof coat. I am NOT paying to get the bus though, and since OH is now away I have to get home to sort the kitties out before going back out to fat club for 6, so that should make me get a move on with the walking!

Aggh, just had a terrible slip up at lunchtime...

    B: weetabix (hea and b)
L: pasta with ff fromage frais, tuna, celery, toms, peppers. Bag of choc raisins which i just found out was 20 syns
    S: pineapple and ff yog

D: will be left over free SW chilli with roast root veggies (parsnip and sweet pot)..no more syns... does that sound ok to minimise the raisin damage?

MOrning all - vicky, that sounds horrendous. It sounds like you need to be in hospital, whatever your GP says. Those symptoms are not to be ignored...

Well, my week on Alizonne has sped past and I am now back a whole 7lb lighter. Yay! I am phasing off now and will be back fully on SW by the end of the week (annoyingly... well, not annoyingly but you know what I mean) I am going for a meal at Heston Blumenthal's Dinner tomorrow night for our anniversary, which I'm really excited about, but won't be great for the old diet. Still, I'll save calories on the alcohol as I've just found out I'M PREGNANT! Very excited but nervous too as some of you know I have a history of losses. Taking super duper medications this time though which are supposed to sort me out. We'll see. So quite a lot of change for one week, really!

First of all congratulations, take good care of yourself. Secondly what's Alizonne?

VICKI. take the good advice on here and get to the hospital or back to the docs for a second opinion. Take care. x x

Oh I am SO glad that's am not the only one that calls it fat club, I really am trying to stop cos although some people take it as being funny not everyone does and I have had a fair few funny looks. It's very difficult to get out of the habit (maybe I'm not trying very hard) x x
