just popping in to have a moan! what started off has doc saying i had pulled hamstring resulted in me spending hours on friday hooked up to an ECG machine and having loads of blood tests....and scaring my dad to death!......
i woke on wednesday with the same pain in my leg but now it was shooting up my side like i had a stitch and then going all the way across my shoulder it was enough to make me cry in pain constantly couldn't get into the doctors until friday by which time i was a complete wreck because i hadn't been sleeping she sent me across to the nurse for blood tests and said she thought i had sciatica but wanted to do blood tests to check for anaemia, thyroid function etc. short walk across the practice (literally about 20metres) and the pain was so intense i ended up on the floor crying my eyes out and sweating like a pig then i went all dizzy and next thing i know i'm hooked up to all these machines and they are saying how my blood pressure is low (it's been low the past few times i've been to doctors but apparently it was v low) ecg shows heart rate all over the place and i'm trying to explain to them it's because i'm in so much pain but they obviously thought i was dying or something! They kept debating whether to ring an ambulance which i was against because at this point i didn't think it was anything other than me having a low pain threshold (i cry at a paper cut!) eventually after over 4 hours in the practice they let me go home and i have spent the weekend counting down the minutes until i can take the next pain killer which helps for about 30 mins if that and now today i've woken up with a nose bleed which i never get so waiting for doctors to open to see what blood tests say and see if they can give me anything else for the pain because i really need to sleep right now.
Diet wise.....what diet i can't keep anything down not even dry toast and i feel all yucky and bloated like i've been on a massive binge or something. Sorry to vent it all out on here but i can't talk to people in real life seen as at one point i heard the doctor asking my dad if i had an eating disorder so now all weekend i have been besieged by visitors (I should be flattered really because some of you will remember me moaning (!) about having no friends well this weekend they have been passing my spare key between them and have been coming to check on me)
Not had chance to read back but I'm sure you are all doing great with the dieting and I will no doubt pop back to moan soon! :)

  • OMG Vicki this sounds terrible. I'm very worried about you and don't understand why you aren't in hospital having this looked into properly. Forget the pain threshold - the low BP and the leg pains and now the nose bleeds should be enough of a warning light for the medical people to get some more attention here.

Sorry don't mean to scare you or anything but being sent home with a few pain killers sounds like complete negligence to me.

Thinking of you and forget the bloody diet girl - just concentrate on getting better but please, please, get yourself to hospital and demand that they find out what's going on here.

    Morning,

Vicki, that sounds horrendous, hope they can find out what's wrong today. Get better soon *hugs*

Karen (was going to write KKK but then realised that probably wouldn't be a good idea...:o ) - the treat tin sounds like a great idea! I keep all the biscuits I can have and his stuff in separate tins but have never batched them up to a syn value, may well give this a try, thanks!

Decent weekend dietwise- Sat was just shopping and tiling the bathroom so kept busy and away from the kitchen. Did make a half syn swiss roll which I've just finished off for breakfast - was surprised by how nice it was. Went to visit my parents for the day yesterday and took them out- my mum is loosely following SW so had a bacon butty when we got there, a cup of tea out (OH had a big piece of Victoria sponge and there were some lovely looking cupcakes but I thought of standing on the scales tonight and resisted!) and a late lunch/early tea of cold meats, new potatoes and salad followed by a Freddo. WI tonight so quietly confident for a loss (watch that statement come back and bite me on the a*se now! :rotfl:)

Having just mentioned OH eating cake yesterday (and mini pork pies, and sausage rolls...) he is definitely getting smaller. He was trying on some clothes last night to take to a conference he's at all this week and there were some shirts that previous wouldn't do up that now fit, albeit quite snugly :) Am hoping it encourages him to carry on doing it with me.

Probably green today, depending on tea:
B: L/O half syn cake with strawberries and cherries, banana
L: 1/2 pack Ainsley couscous (1.5), stir fried veg, nectarine
T: TBC - possibly pasta, pesto (2.5), cheese (HEA), maybe some garlic bread as syns
S: Hifi bar at class (HEB), WW yog

Have a great week everyone :)

MOrning all - vicky, that sounds horrendous. It sounds like you need to be in hospital, whatever your GP says. Those symptoms are not to be ignored...

Well, my week on Alizonne has sped past and I am now back a whole 7lb lighter. Yay! I am phasing off now and will be back fully on SW by the end of the week (annoyingly... well, not annoyingly but you know what I mean) I am going for a meal at Heston Blumenthal's Dinner tomorrow night for our anniversary, which I'm really excited about, but won't be great for the old diet. Still, I'll save calories on the alcohol as I've just found out I'M PREGNANT! Very excited but nervous too as some of you know I have a history of losses. Taking super duper medications this time though which are supposed to sort me out. We'll see. So quite a lot of change for one week, really!

Vicki - really hope you are feeling better soon, that sounds horrible. Like others have said, forget the diet and just get well.

I am loving the treat box idea, I am going to do that this week I think.

Today is WI day for me, good luck to everyone else that is weighing today. I am another person that constantly jumps on the scales. I don't know why I do it because I always get myself worked up.

I weighed myself the other day and I had lost 2lbs since last WI. I then weighed myself last night (and about 30 other times throughout the week) and it said I had put on 7lbs! Now of course I know this is rubbish because I've been good all week but doesn't stop me getting wound up. This morning I have lost the extra 5lbs so I think I am looking at a STS this week which is also winding me up lol. Official WI isn't until 5:30pm...someone take my scales away!!!
