My problem is Maman that none of this ton of veg that I'm eating every day seems to be doing me any good. I suppose vitamin-wise it must be but it doesn't seem to be going through me the way I thought it would!

I just seem to be hanging on to everything I put in my mouth and the muffin-top grows daily!!!

I find that Original or Green days are far better for my bowels than EE.:o

I'm back from a lovely trip to Leeds with my youngest. Spent a good while in Primark ( and got some good bargains!):money::money: and then adjourned to Slug and Lettuce. Had the Moroccan chicken salad and a few of DD's chips!;) Drank sparkling water:A:A.

Before going this morning I walked for 4 miles and then changed 2 beds. I am hoping to head out for another walk soon. Hopefully this will nullify the few chips and whatever syns I consumed today!

i still feel uncomfortable - my body doesn't feel like mine at the moment! So much so that a few days ago I did both a pregnancy and a menopause test.:eek: Both were negative, which leaves me none the wiser.... Wish my boobs would give it a rest though - I feel like they are growing, not shrinking - and I really don't like it!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

Are you bunged up from the painkillers & reduced fluids?

Welcome to the thread Ilovecakes :D

CH27 - Many thanks for this idea, I can only hope that this is the problem. After I read your comment I tried to think about how my 'movements' have been this week, and to be honest I really can't remember either going or not going. I think I do remember going, i think :o. As for the fluids, I've been drinking exactly the same as I normally do. I did have one day where I felt that I was getting the gall stone pain that I used to have and I did feel quite bloated at the time too, so maybe I was bunged. This morning when I checked the scales it said I have put on 0.25 of a lb, so I think that being off the painkillers for 2 days has helped, so hopefully tomorrow might just be a STS instead of the 2lbs that it was during the week, actually at the beginning of the week it was 2.25lbs so it was 0.5 more that what I had weighed the week before.

Anyhooo sorry for the waffle, but hopefully being off the painkillers and the fact that the swelling has reduced and I seem to be on the mend will have sorted out the problem and the best I can hope for is a STS tomorrow, at least its better than a 2lb gain.

Tomorrow I am going to Matalan to buy some new clothes as mine are starting to get baggy round the bum :T, but not round the belly :rotfl:

If I sts/gain this week I SHALL be blaming Andy Murray! i got so stressed last night some wine accidentally fell into my mouth.....;);)

I may be meeting up with someone i haven't seen for years tomorrow... This may involve a trip to Betty's....:o

I loved Betty's when I visited York for a couple of days, I had the afternoon tea and still managed to lose 1lb ! Enjoy x x
  • so it's back to basics for me today - I printed out the sample menu from the website and will tweak it a bit according to what I like/have in the house and hope that I can see some movement on the scales this month. I'm going to Scotland at the beginning of August for my Mum's 70th (just for a long weekend) and I have a Mother & Daughter Makeover and Photoshoot booked. She doesn't know I'm coming or about the photoshoot so it would be nice to lose a few pounds between now and then.

B - bowl of watermelon; slice of toast, 2 fried eggs (in Frylight); bowl of salad with 1 tblspn light mayo (2 syns)
L - baked sweet potato with 45g grated mozzarella, baked beans & coleslaw with 1 tblspn light mayo (2 syns)
D - vegetable soup; spaghetti bolognese

snacks - FF vanilla yoghurt, watermelon

At this stage I'm going to use my syns sparingly just in case things start to go pear-shaped later on in the week!

Ive done a treat tin this week and its really worked for me I made it up to 60 syns but still have at least 30 left and weigh ins wednesday, = 8 hifi bars rocky roads and choc mixed, 2 freddos, 2 kitkats, 2 ringos, 2 stars, meant when guard was down or everyone else was having a treat I always had something I had already counted plus still had odd few left for mayo or sausages etc.... and anything left wednesday I know I can cash in for a treat after weighing without actually going over weekly syns.......... Hubby still wont confess where hes hidden the scales and il admit its bl00dy kiling me now not weighing its really one of the hardest habits to break ive ever had to lol stroll on weigh in lol have a fab day all and make good choices xx

  • I completely understand you about the scales Karen. My hubby did that too and it took me a couple of weeks but now I just don't go there. They are now back in the bathroom and he's more inclined to jump on them every day than I am!
