Well done on the loss Evil squid - shiney sticker for you:j

Welcome ilovecakes.. congrats on your baby and your weight loss, 12lbs in 5 weeks is fab..

Cande, I weigh most days but i also have in the back of my mind that many factors can influence the scale. I try and not let it affect the way my day goes but it is hard sometimes.. water rentention or hormones can play a big part in our losses and as some one said the meds can make you a little bunged up too. If you know that you haven't eaten off plan, then even though the weight hasn't fallen off this week, you may have a larger weight loss next week.

I really craved a bacon sandwich this morning so i'll have to have a red day.. really not sure what else i'll be having.

    B - bacon sarnie (heb)
    L - 2 ryvita (3?) pickles, cheese (hea) french fries (4)
T - chicken something with a jacket (heb) salad
    S - bit of cake (5)

I've made a cake today as my OH's family is coming round, so i've tasted a tiny bit to make sure it's ok (and i may or may not have licked some chocolate buttercream off my finger:o), it was a tiny mouthful but i've put 5 syns, i wasn't intending to have anymore.

I've now found out apparently MIL's "new chap" has bought a cake for us, even though i always make one for their visits:mad:.. i won't be having any of either no matter how rude it looks as they know we're on SW:mad:

My cake will now have to be taken to work for the gannets to eat as I don't want it to go to waste and i'm NOT going to eat it, I'm NOT! :rotfl::D

Hello everyone :) It's my partners 30th today and the only thing he wanted to do was go to Waitrose, buy lots of nice food and spend the day cooking. Weirdo :rotfl:.

He bought loads of nice yumminess but I am going to try and be good, we have meat, potatoes, veg which is fine. It is the yorkshire puddings, sauces and pudding that I need to stay away from . I might just have a little bit....

Keep up your great work and please send me some of your willpower!!!!!

    :grouphug:
Poor you, I'd so love to send you some willpower, so sending good eating vibes instead. I suppose the plus side of SW compared with other 'diets' is that you can eat loads and loads.

I'm feeling a bit slimmer today so hopefully that's a good sign.

    Today's food (EE):
B: 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, banana
    L: 2 slices ham, beetroot
D: roast chicken, SW roast potatoes and parsnips, cauli, cabbage, carrots
Syns: wine, gravy (and maybe some stuffing).

I've done loads of veg so can have bubble & squeak for lunch tomorrow (if I'm not so greedy that we eat it all tonight).
  • My problem is Maman that none of this ton of veg that I'm eating every day seems to be doing me any good. I suppose vitamin-wise it must be but it doesn't seem to be going through me the way I thought it would!

I just seem to be hanging on to everything I put in my mouth and the muffin-top grows daily!!!

  • I'm actually not as down as I was a few weeks ago. I'm going with the flow and know that I'm eating a lot more healthily than I was before. I'm exercising about 3-4 times a week and I'm drinking lots of water.

I know I'm not following the plan as I should be and it frustrates me that with the amount of weight I have to lose that there isn't any movement on the scales even without following 100% because compared to what I was eating before I really should be showing some movement.

In any event I'm continuing eating this way and hope that one day I will get it into my head to follow it 100%. It's hard (and I'm really not making excuses) not being able to get all the food items but I'm trying to make appropriate changes and hope that it works. I'm not going anywhere :-)

  • Medmum, have you tried binning your current menus, ditching the staples and tried something completely different, or at least something you haven't had in a while - SW friendly of course?
    Hello new faces..!
Kandfs mum, what an inspiration you are.. don't look back!
Re-weighing oneself:Aaccording to my dear old-long suffering wiifit last week I was 8lb down. Turned out I was 'only :D' 4lb lighter, but I am used to being about 4lb different to the WI scales.
Keep up the good work, peeples :) and lots of willpower for you too medmum
  • You must be a mind reader Shellie - just came off the SW website where I was looking at their 7-day suggested vegetarian plan and I was thinking of trying that to see if that helps just by changing things up.
